A New York Times staff meeting transcript shows the rot of bias at the Times is far beyond the pale and there is no hope of recovery. The Gray Lady is dead, her homicide an inside job. Ringleader is executive editor Dean Baquet, who fires the fatal shot into the credibility of his paper. By giving reporters and editors license to try to stop Donald Trump from becoming president Baquet helped unleash the hatred that is tearing America apart. Never before has a single media institution played such a destructive role in the nation’s life. The meeting shows Baquet is...

I see that the Danish Prime Minister placed a call to President Trump shortly before he left for Europe, possibly in an effort to smooth over the kerfuffle she created by her rude response to the President’s off-handed comment about buying Greenland. My sister had a better idea: we trade the Danes Greenland for Puerto Rico. That way the Danes will have someplace warm to go in the winter when there’s only 6 hours of sunlight in Denmark and we’ll have someplace America’s Green New Deal crowd can go to observe the melting of glaciers. And they can stay there and...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Ok, that wasn’t all he said. – The full sentence he muttered in response to a question about some voters worrying about his advanced age was, “I say if they’re concerned, don’t vote for me.” But if President Donald Trump had made that exact same statement, the heading I used for this piece would have appeared above the fold on the front page of this morning’s New York Times and Washington Post. You know it’s true. Where the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator is concerned, isn’t literally everyone at least a little bit...

Leave it to Gov. Cuomo to come up with a wacky Rube Goldberg-like scheme, even for something as small-time as license plates. Cuomo this week announced that the state is changing the style of its plates, and everyone with vehicles more than 10 years old will have to get one. Oh, it’ll cost you an extra $25 — plus $20 more to keep the same plate numbers. **SNIP** New Yorkers get to vote on one of five possible designs, four that show the Statue of Liberty and one featuring the new Tappan Zee — er, Gov. Mario M. Cuomo —...

President Trump on Thursday evening tweeted a forthcoming rally in North Carolina in support of Republican congressional candidate Dan Bishop. Trump did not specify the date of his appearance, but without naming Bishop’s Democratic opponent Dan McCready, accused McCready of “lik[ing] the ‘Squad’ more than North Carolina,” in reference to four progressive freshman members of Congress Trump has repeatedly attacked in recent months. At Trump’s most recent North Carolina rally, controversy erupted after the crowd began chanting “Send her back” in reference to one of the four, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), a Somali refugee. Trump has since said he did...

U.S. Republicans have recently raised funds at record-breaking levels. While some experts say this bodes well for the re-election of U.S. President Donald Trump, Others argue that Trump's re-election is not a foregone conclusion, and note that the 2020 elections are still a long way off. The Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel announced earlier this week that the party brought in a record-breaking 20.8 million U.S. dollars in July, the RNC's largest ever off-cycle July haul, bringing the total to 177.9 million dollars for the 2019-2020 cycle. "Our fundraising success is further evidence that the American people like...

Even before the firing of Officer Daniel Pantaleo, cops were backing off. Who can blame them? Under de Blasio and the city’s progressive district attorneys — they feel under siege. The disrespect of cop dousings inevitably turned violent when three officers were injured as people hurled heavy objects rather than water. Joseph Imperatrice, founder of Blue Lives Matter, said, "The days of proactive policing are completely done.” Patrick Lynch, Police Benevolent Association boss, urged cops this week to “proceed with the utmost caution in this new reality, in which they may be deemed ‘reckless’ just for doing their job.” Lynch...

Several months ago, our Stats & Information Group was presented with a huge challenge: to rank the top programs in college football history. Our goal: Honor the accomplishments of teams across 150 seasons and all divisions, while rewarding successful programs at the highest level in the sport's most competitive era. Teams should be judged by winning games and winning championships, since those records exist all the way back to the early years. While some early game outcomes are even disputed between teams, national titles are subject to far greater debate. Fortunately, the NCAA decided that issue for us with its...

The 2-1 Victorian Court of Appeal dismissal of George Pell’s appeal against his sexual offences convictions may settle Pell’s guilt in the eyes of the law, but this contested judgment cannot constitute an enduring settlement or convincing argument in relation to Pell’s guilt. It is an extraordinary judgment. The power, logic and suasion lies in the 200-page minority judgment by Mark Weinberg, a former commonwealth director of public prosecutions and the most experienced of the three judges in criminal law. Weinberg’s dissent is long and closely reasoned. Weinberg has ensured that grave doubts about Pell’s guilt will not be dissipated...

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Moscow on Tuesday for a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the Turkish presidency has said, days after a Turkish convoy was nearly hit by air raids in the Syrian province of Idlib. Friday's announcement came as Syrian forces, backed by Russia, continue to make advances into the last rebel stronghold in Syria's northwest region that borders Turkey. Since late April, Syria and Russia have escalated their bombardment of Idlib, with more than 500 civilians being killed in the hostilities, according to the United Nations.

Here’s an important question for our times: What’s the difference between a Tommy Gun, the submachine gun wielded by gangsters like John Dillinger and Baby Face Nelson roaming Wisconsin in the 1930s, and a military-style assault weapon, today’s weapon of choice routinely used to commit mass murders all over America? The answer, of course, is there’s virtually no difference, except for this: President Franklin Roosevelt and the U.S. Congress succeeded in removing Thompson submachine guns, firing 600 rounds of bullets in a minute, from city streets with the National Firearms Act of 1934, the first serious federal gun safety legislation...

The Colts' +600 division odds are behind the Texans at +140, Jaguars at +225 and Titans at +325.

Throughout most of its history, San Francisco has been known as the beautiful “city by the bay.” It has wonderful scenery, the Golden Gate bridge, the cable cars, Pier 39 among other wonderful cultural attractions. Sadly, it is also led by unhinged progressives who are in the process of destroying this unique city. While there is incredible wealth in San Francisco, along with plenty of high-tech corporate headquarters, there is also a growing poverty crisis. Currently, according to the city’s own definition, there are approximately 10,000 homeless people living in San Francisco. This represents a shocking 30% increase in just the...

The US State Department website has deleted the Palestinian Authority from the list of countries and areas on its website. Until recently, 'Palestinians' appeared on the site under the name 'Palestinian Authority' and before that the 'Palestinian Territories'. Over the past year there has been a significant devaluation of the Palestinian status on the US side, with the State Department ordering to remove any reference that included the word 'occupied territories' in reference to the Palestinian Arabs. .....

The Truth about guns did an excellent job covering the Gun Owners of America rally in Austin, Texas. Rachel Malone is Gun Owners of America's representative in Texas. I have met Rachel. She is smart, dedicated, talented, and easy on the eyes. She is also extremely effective. The rally is nicely done with Stephen Willeford, the hero who stopped the mass killing at the Sutherland Springs church in November of 2017. Stephen is articulate and knowledgeable. He does an excellent job. It is worth watching him debate a heckler who is passionate, but poorly informed. The debate starts about...

du·plic·i·ty noun.deceitfulness; double-dealing.synonyms: deception, deviousness, two-facedness, underhandedness, dishonesty, falseness, fraudulence, trickery… The howling from the Left concerning the Israeli refusal to allow two Muslim Congresswomen to visit their country has a strangely familiar echo. Never mind that on their visa applications they refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist. They requested the right to visit Palestine, not Israel. Never mind that they have actively promoted a boycott that would damage Israel’s economy and its citizens. And forget that the trip was organized by a militant anti-Israel organization that supported suicide bombers. The two had refused to join an official delegation...
