The space vehicle launch company owned by the late Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft, has confirmed that it's still operational, following a report that it was closing shop. Earlier Friday, Reuters said four sources told it that Stratolaunch Systems Corporation would be closing down. Stratolaunch has been developing a series of space launch vehicles including a super-sized aircraft. In August 2018, the company unveiled a lineup of vehicles. The Stratolaunch plane was designed to launch a Pegasus XL rocket, with the company also designing three other launch vehicles including a three-core rocket that would carry 15 times the Pegasus payload,...

A major witness in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation was arrested Monday on child-pornography charges, after flying into the U.S. for the first time since his cooperation with Mr. Mueller’s team. George Nader, a dual U.S. and Lebanese citizen, was charged in a criminal complaint more than a year ago, in April 2018, after he had spent hours with Mr. Mueller’s investigators detailing his contacts with Trump allies and efforts to set up meetings between Trump campaign associates and a Russian businessman close to President Vladimir Putin. Nobody connected to the Trump campaign was charged as a result of Mr....

Beijing has launched a propaganda campaign targeting China-based Taiwanese businesses in an attempt to sway the outcome of next year’s presidential election, National Cheng Kung University professor of political science Hung Chin-fu (洪敬富) said yesterday. China is trying to curb the exodus of Taiwanese businesses amid its trade spat with the US, Hung said, adding that more than 300 Taiwanese companies have signed up for an information session about Beijing’s Greater Bay Area project. Announced in February, the project aims to integrate the economies of Hong Kong and Macau with nine cities in neighboring Guangdong Province. China wants Taiwanese companies...

Parliamentary note: As I write, I'm still scheduled to give evidence to the House of Commons Committee on Justice and Human Rights, along with Lindsay Shepherd and John Robson, bright and early tomorrow morning, Tuesday, at 8.45am in Ottawa. However, over the weekend there were dramatic ructions around "JUST", as the committee is apparently abbreviated. On Friday, Faisal Khan Suri of the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council appeared and decided to link Quebec mosque shooter Alexandre Bissonnette to "conservative commentators". Michael Cooper, the Tory Vice-Chair of the committee (and presumably the chap who issued the invitations to Lindsay, John and...

For years, Tesla Inc. has hauled in revenue by selling credits to other carmakers that needed to offset sales of polluting vehicles to U.S. consumers. These sorts of transactions have largely been shrouded in secrecy—until now.

... I’ve watched the two millionth “the problem with conservatism is people like you, the solution for conservatism is people like me” debate, and I’m just sick and tired of so many of our brethren averting their eyes from the big, glaring, worsening problem that rips off so many decent, hard-working folks. The Huge Albatross to the Conservative Movement that Few Want to Talk About Back in 2013, Conservative StrikeForce PAC raised $2.2 million in funds vowing to support Ken Cuccinelli’s campaign for governor in Virginia. Court filings and FEC records showed that the PAC only contributed $10,000 to Cuccinelli’s...

A search team in the Indian Himalayas has spotted five bodies on the unnamed peak where eight climbers are believed to have gone missing a week ago. Pithoragarh District Magistrate Vijay Kumar Jogdande told CNN Monday that the bodies appear to be partially buried in an avalanche on the peak in different locations. The bodies were identified following analysis of photographs taken by a helicopter that conducted an air survey of the area earlier in the day. The missing climbers -- four Britons, two Americans, an Australian and their Indian liaison officer -- went missing in the region of Nanda...

RUSH: Now, let me move on from some of these stories about Trump and the U.K. I think half the protests in the U.K. are bought and paid for, by the way, either by the Brits or by the Americans. I think half of it’s phony. The stupid mayor over there is writing op-eds and saying blasphemous things, comparing Trump to Hitler and the Nazis and so forth. It’s just absurd. And yet the president’s going through with this and fighting back as he always does. But back here in the United States the Democrat Party continues to not know...

FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon lumber company is cutting its workforce by about 40%, citing the state's "regulatory and tax creep." The Stimson Lumber Company announced Friday that it would lay off 60 jobs from its Forest Grove operations. CEO Andrew Miller said environmental permit fees, Oregon's Clean Fuels Tax and pending cap and trade legislation are stacking up the cost of doing business in the state. The company said it will now shift some of that work to Idaho and Montana, where it cost 5% to 7% less to produce lumber products. In Oregon, Stimson also operates...

Democratic Party candidates for President in 2020 have been claiming that Trump’s economic successes are really the result of Obama administration policies. A while back, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis created a summary report that measured the American economy while President Obama and the Democrats were in control. It’s a trip down memory lane, and shows that Democrat claims about the “Obama Economy” are nothing but smoke and mirrors designed to fool the American people. While Democrats were in charge everything that should have been up, is down, and everything that should have been down, is up. Take...

Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said Monday that his country would reject a proposed solution to the immigration and tariff stand-off with the U.S. that would involve it keeping Central American asylum seekers. The proposal, which has not been formally made by the U.S., would involve Mexico being designated a "safe third country" for the immigrants, meaning that refugees passing through Mexico to the U.S. would first have to claim asylum in Mexico. The U.S. has a similar agreement with Canada. "An agreement about a safe third country would not be acceptable for Mexico,” Ebrard told reporters shortly before a...

During the second half of his “Freedom Friday” show on May 31, co-host Carl Gallups reiterated the theme with which he ended the previous segment: that President Trump is in possession of evidence gleaned from a 5+-year investigation into the “long-form” birth certificate image said to represent Barack Hussein Obama’s original birth record showing that it is a “computer-generated forgery” and that “high-level meetings” are being held on the subject.

President Donald Trump laid a wreath at, and prayed over the interred remains of an unknown combatant of the Great War of 1914-1918 on Monday morning, during a visit to Westminster Abbey on his State Visit to the United Kingdom. The visit to the Abbey, the historic place of burial and coronations for English and British Kings and Queens for nearly 1,000 years, was hosted by British Royal Prince Andrew and the chapter officers of the Abbey itself. President Trump was driven from Buckingham Palace, where he had eaten lunch with Queen Elizabeth II, to the Abbey in the Presidential...

Most of the media won’t get it, probably even when it happens, but all of the signals are pointing to President Trump getting deals with both China and Mexico — and they will be better deals than what the United States has or has had. Mexico is actually the easier nut to crack here. The government is corrupt, weak and totally reliant on the United States for both its legal economy and its black market economy. A full-out trade-war with the U.S. would of course cause some harm to the U.S., but would be catastrophic for Mexico. And more importantly,...

When Rhode Island Bishop Thomas Tobin tweeted a simple warning to his diocese cautioning against participation in LGBT “Pride” events during so-called “Pride Month,” an international backlash quickly erupted. LGBT and progressive activists moved swiftly to squash the Catholic shepherd’s advisory to his flock to remain faithful to “Catholic faith and morals,” demonstrating the resolve of anti-Catholic forces to silence Church teaching. Early on June 1, the first day of what LGBT activists insist is a month for celebrating their lifestyles, Bishop Tobin (not to be confused with left-wing Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark, New Jersey) tweeted: “A reminder that...
