European judges rule that UK airport cops breached rights of al-Qaeda chief’s wife, taxpayers must pay her $28,000 How did they breach her rights? By stopping her for questioning. In that case, my rights have been breached in several airports, but no one is giving me a big payout. This is the same court that ruled that criticism of Muhammad is not subject to free speech protection. “Al Qaeda chief’s wife, 49, wins human rights battle after claiming UK airport police breached her privacy by stopping her for questioning (and taxpayers will now foot her legal bills),” by David Churchill,...

Ocasio-Cortez: US should not have authorized use of force against 9/11 jihadis The force was largely used in a wrongheaded and counterproductive manner. However, the idea that we should have done nothing to counter al-Qaeda after 9/11 is simply a counsel of surrender. Traitors and saboteurs have become mainstream on the Left today. “Ocasio-Cortez: U.S. Should Not Have Authorized Use Of Force Against 9/11 Perpetrators,” by Ryan Saavedra, Daily Wire, March 5, 2019: Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made radical statements Monday night on Twitter, suggesting that the United States should not have authorized the use of force against those...

We offer here an answer to one of the most intriguing questions in ancient Mediterranean history: the timing/contexts and incentives of early Phoenician expansion to Mediterranean and Atlantic regions in Africa and Europe ~3,000 years ago. This was enabled by a rare opportunity to analyze a very large sample set of ancient silver items from Phoenicia. An interdisciplinary collaboration combining scientific methods with precise archaeological data revealed the Phoenicians' silver sources. We propose that Phoenicians brought silver to the Levant from southwest Sardinia ~200 years before they de facto settled there, and later, gradually, also from Iberia. We show that...

Students and parents at a Newport Beach high school are infuriated after a photo of partygoers believed to be students at the school showed them posing alongside anti-Semitic imagery. The picture shows a group of teens in a Nazi salute and a swastika formed out of plastic cups. At least some of the partygoers are believed to be students at Newport Harbor High School. The incident triggered a conversation on the campus about the past, present and anti-Semitism. An open letter was written by Jewish students addressed to the school's administration and community saying the photo is not an isolated...

It is hard to explain why such a thing occurred. As well as why in Minoan culture there is no representation of or reference to a lord. "In Minoan culture we have no representation of a lord, neither has any name come down to us except for that of Minos and perhaps Radamanthes, about whom we do not have much information. Moreover, Homeric Idomeneas was a Mycenaean king of Crete", noted Mrs Tsipopoulou having already stressed the mystery of Minoan culture which continuously thickens, despite new finds and fresh interpretations. Here is an interesting piece of information from the archaeologist...

Kurt Luther, Virginia Tech assistant professor of computer science, has developed a free software platform that uses crowdsourcing to significantly increase the ability of algorithms to identify faces in photos. Through the software platform, called Photo Sleuth, Luther seeks to uncover the mysteries of the nearly 4 million photographs of Civil War-era images that may exist in the historical record. Luther will present his research surrounding the Photo Sleuth platform on March 19 at the Association for Computing Machinery's Intelligent User Interfaces conference in Los Angeles, California. He will also demonstrate Photo Sleuth at the grand opening of the expanded...

The primary reason that mass immigration destroys the welfare state because immigrants receive more in benefits than they pay in taxes. This is not true for every immigrant—some never collect government handouts—but it is true for the overall immigrant population. Studies from across the Western world prove this point. A recent, and comprehensive study from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine found that although immigration is (theoretically) revenue-neutral in America, not all immigrants are created equal. Half of all immigrants actually receive more in government assistance than they pay in taxes, but thankfully they are balanced out by...

The status quo of demographic change is an existential threat to American cultural continuity, warned Coulter. “I judge all politicians on their stand on the most important issue of our era [and] generation, and it decides whether America lives or dies,” said Coulter. “That is immigration.” Coulter continued, “So I’ve been, for a long time, pretty tough on Rand Paul, because he was terrible on immigration. “He was Mr. Amnesty, remember? He was taking Rupert Murdoch to the Kentucky Derby, and Rupert Murdoch is famously open borders.” Coulter went on, “So I’m not wild about Rand Paul’s instincts on these...

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday confirmed Columbus attorney Chad Readler to be a judge on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals over objections from Democrats including U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, who portrayed Readler as a right-wing idealogue who has “actively worked to strip Ohioans of their rights.”The Senate voted 52 to 47 to approve Readler’s nomination to fill a vacancy created when Judge Deborah Cook took senior status. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine was the only Republican who opposed Readler. Readler has held several high profile roles in the U.S. Justice Department’s civil division, where he led a...

Strangely, the media have suddenly taken an intense interest in the case of pedophile and major Democratic donor Jeffrey Epstein. In 2005, the Palm Beach police were told by the mother of a young girl in West Palm Beach that her daughter had been brought to the Democratic donor's mansion and asked to have sex with him for money. This kicked off an intensive, one-year undercover investigation. The police sifted through Epstein's garbage and interviewed 17 witnesses, including the housemen, who told of sex toys and dildos left behind after the underage girls left. One of Epstein's procurers, a 20-year-old...

Victor Davis Hanson, senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and professor of Classics Emeritus at California State University, likened President Donald Trump to “chemotherapy” used to cure the “cancer” of America’s “permanent political class.” Hanson joined Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow to discuss his latest book, The Case for Trump. He explained his motivation for writing the book. “I wrote it because I felt the literature so far had been either ra-ra fanatically pro-Trump without a lot of analysis, or had been just Trump Derangement Syndrome stuff,” said Hanson. “I felt that people who...

The first two years of Donald Trump's presidency haven't exactly been filled with stellar ratings from the public. Trump's approval rating in Gallup has never -- not one time -- been above 50% since he was sworn into office. His overall job approval number in the Real Clear Politics' average is below 44%. Almost six in 10 people disapproved of how Trump has handled the Russia investigation in a CNN-SSRS poll last month. On and on it goes -- bad numbers following bad numbers, leaving the poll-obsessed Trump to cherry-pick a piece of data here and there that suggests he...

If you know nothing else about medieval European illuminated manuscripts, you surely know the Book of Kells. “One of Ireland’s greatest cultural treasures” comments Medievalists.net, “it is set apart from other manuscripts of the same period by the quality of its artwork and the sheer number of illustrations that run throughout the 680 pages of the book.” The work not only attracts scholars, but almost a million visitors to Dublin every year. “You simply can’t travel to the capital of Ireland,” writes Book Riot’s Erika Harlitz-Kern, “without the Book of Kells being mentioned. And rightfully so.” The ancient masterpiece is...

The Trump administration is reportedly planning to freeze the hiring of immigration judges at the Justice Department due to a budgetary shortfall that has left the department searching for resources to combat the massive backlog of immigration cases it faces. BuzzFeed News reported Wednesday evening that the director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review, James McHenry, told immigration court staff earlier in the day that the department is "considerably short of being able to fulfill all of our current operational needs" due to the timing of 2019's budget process. As a result, the DOJ will not be able to...

The loss of two congressional seats and billions of dollars in federal funding are only two of the problems facing Illinois if it cannot get all of its residents to respond to the 2020 census. Although the official count does not start for another year, the federal government and state and local governments are ramping up their efforts to make the next census as accurate as possible. Activists, lawmakers and community leaders around the state, meanwhile, are fighting to address all the factors that might contribute to an undercount. The census The federal census is conducted every 10 years to...

WASHINGTON — President Trump still isn’t ready to release the “devastating” documents he said a few months ago he would drop on Democrats if they continued hounding his administration. “If they play tough, I will do it. And they will see how devastating those pages are,” Trump said during a late November sit-down with The Post. He said he could declassify FISA warrant applications and other documents from special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe — and predicted they would expose the FBI, the Justice Department and the Clinton campaign as being in cahoots to set him up. The president had been...

He's 51 years old and 6 feet, 6 inches tall. At a college, somewhere. Weirdest photo you've ever seen..? Being delusional, our system is less and less able to deal with delusional people. It's angering but I believe these delusional men are actually HELPING our side, angering people with sports awards, herding would-be accomodating normies into our camp. It is difficult for me to believe that we're only 2 or so years into the Tranny war on civilization, seems like it has already been decades.
