Men use fire extinguisher in Gaithersburg restaurant robbery Police investigating Thursday evening incident by Elizabeth Waibel Staff Writer Montgomery County police are investigating an armed robbery at a Gaithersburg restaurant Thursday evening. Shortly after 8 p.m., police responded to a call about a robbery at El Meson restaurant at 615 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg. Witnesses said two men opened the front door of the restaurant and discharged a fire extinguisher inside the restaurant, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Police Department.
