Recent revelations make it increasingly likely that the Democratic National Committee was aware of Barack Obama's eligibility problems before certifying his nomination for president. But has anyone considered that perhaps the choice of a compromised candidate for that office was not accidental but deliberate? "In politics there are no accidents," Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said. "If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way." Sorry to sound conspiratorial, but like most voters I've never been invited into the proverbial "smoke-filled rooms" where nominations actually take place, so I can only speculate as to what occurs behind the scenes....

Jimmy Carter's intervention in the winguts v. Obama controversy has raised the expected amount of dust--and I suppose the standard reaction is that "it's a good thing we're having this conversation," but I'm not so sure that it is. Since I was one of the early racism-shouters here on Swampland, and on the Chris Matthews show last Sunday, I probably should explain why "this conversation" is heading in the wrong direction. First of all, I tried to make it clear that I wasn't talking about classic white-black racism, though elements of that are present, to be sure. My sense of...

Welcome to the post-racial presidency of Barack Obama, in which it has suddenly become a racial issue when American citizens dare to criticize the president. Now, this is so silly, so asinine that it boggles the mind of any rational person. If there is one thing even more American than apple pie, it is the rhetorical slicing and dicing of our presidents. This stems from the egalitarian nature of our Constitution and our forceful, revolutionary rebuke of royalty. Rhetorically eviscerating presidents as the servants of the people they are constitutionally mandated to be is as much an American pastime as...

A man who was menaced by a herd of cows while walking his dog had to take refuge by jumping into the River Thames and staying there for over an hour. The man was walking along the towpath near Radcot in Oxfordshire on Tuesday evening when the cows began chasing him. In order to avoid their attentions, he jumped into the river. He stayed there for twenty minutes before phoning the police. Authorities reacted quickly, putting a helicopter on standby in case he needed rescuing, and bringing in an officer experienced in cow-herding issues to talk him through the complex...

LORD of the Rings author JRR Tolkien trained as a spy in the years leading up to World War II, it has emerged. The Oxford University professor - who also wrote The Hobbit - was one of 50 intellectuals chosen by the British Government singled out to crack Nazi codes as it appeared increasingly likely Germany was preparing to declare war. Tolkien was reknown as one of his generation's most respected linguists, and according to The Sun, was believed to have passed the training course “with flying colours”. Start of sidebar. September 17, 2009 Pilgrims Queue Around Cathedral As St Thérèse Tour Hits Portsmouth Not since the Reformation, and perhaps not even before then, has England seen a pilgrimage quite like this. The closest comparison might be to the Middle Ages, when “pardoners”, or salesmen, would travel the countryside hawking the “relics” of dead saints to credulous Christians who believed that they could buy themselves less time in Purgatory. But that would not do justice to the phenomenon of St Thérèse, who within hours of touching down on British soil attracted a queue of hundreds of devout Christians who snaked around...

It would be foolhardy to attempt to describe all of human stupidity. So I will try to describe only two examples that are relevant today: (1) I can’t manage my own affairs, but I want to manage yours. (2) If I imagine it, it must be true. Einstein was correct. There is no limit to human stupidity. But even he could not predict how much damage would be done by self-anointed elitists living in their own fantasy world.

TEL AVIV – There is no moral concern regarding cloning human beings since human embryos, which develop into a baby, are "only a handful of cells," argued President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein. "If scientists will be using and cloning embryos only at a very early stage when they are just a handful of cells (say, before they are four days old), there is no good reason for a ban (on cloning)," wrote Sunstein, who was confirmed by the Senate last week as administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. "It is silly to...

September, 2009 satellite images released by NASA's Earth Observatory. This satellite image shows several small glaciers spilling into a mostly dry valley in western Greenland. The image was captured on August 29, 2009. The Advanced Land Imager on NASA’s Earth Observing-1 satellite acquired this natural-color image. This image shows most of the valley and the image below is a close-up of two glacier snouts. Image credit NASA / Earth Observatory. Image Information: Multiple glaciers frequently flow into straight valleys in Greenland. The valleys result from earlier glaciations that carved the bedrock. The smaller glaciers that flow into the valley may...

RESTON, Va. (AP) - On Friday afternoons, the people coming to pray at this building take off their shoes, unfurl rugs to kneel on and pray in Arabic. The ones that come Friday evenings put on yarmulkes, light candles and pray in Hebrew. The building is a synagogue on a tree-lined street in suburban Virginia, but for the past few weeks—during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan—it has also been doubling daily as a mosque. Synagogue members suggested their building after hearing the Muslim congregation was looking to rent a place for overflow crowds. "People look to the Jewish-Muslim relationship...

South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's son defended him Wednesday against a charge by former President Jimmy Carter that the congressman's "You lie" outburst during a speech by President Obama was racist. "There is not a racist bone in my dad's body," said Alan Wilson, who is running for state attorney general in South Carolina. "He doesn't even laugh at distasteful jokes." The day before, Carter called Wilson's outburst "dastardly" and "based on racism." "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president," the former president, a Democrat, said. He was responding to...

A VICTORIAN man who allegedly raped his daughter almost daily for 30 years, kept her as a virtual prisoner and fathered her four children, has been charged by police. In what has been described as a case as shocking as Josef Fritzl's in Austria, child welfare advocates have called for a full inquiry amid claims authorities failed to investigate the alleged abuse despite being warned decades ago. One source close to the case claimed it could be "every bit as bad, if not worse, than the Josef Fritzl case. Especially the fact that she had so many children to her...

Here is video of Mark Levin talking with Sean Hannity tonight calling former President Jimmy Carter a "blowhard" who, given his lack of support for Israel, is in "no position to lecture anyone." He also commented on the ACORN Scandal, saying ACORN "abuses poor people," and is a "shady group" that needs to be "shut down." They also discussed Levin's book, "Liberty and Tyranny," which now has sold over 1 million copies. (Video)

A ONE-time neighbour of the alleged victim told the Herald Sun she suspected the father may have been abusing his daughter but kept quiet because "it wasn't anybody's business". In a disturbing condemnation of a small country Victorian town, the neighbour said she became suspicious at least four years ago after the alleged rapist kept referring to a picture of a baby who died as an infant as "his little darling". "I didn't go to anybody because it wasn't anybody's business," said the neighbour, who accused another neighbour who had encouraged the victim to complain to police of interfering in...

U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land tossed out on Wednesday a complaint by an Army captain fighting deployment to Iraq by questioning the legitimacy of President Barack Obama. Land also put attorney Orly Taitz, who represents Capt. Connie Rhodes and is a leader in the national “birther” movement, on notice by stating that she could face sanctions if she ever again files in his court a similar “frivolous” lawsuit — a document that at one point the judge states that a middle school student could find irony in.

Despite five videos disclosing corruption and despicable behavior at 4 ACORN Housing locations (Baltimore, Washington D.C., Brooklyn, and San Bernardino), there has been little coverage from the major TV networks - ABC, CBS, NBC, and MSNBC. What coverage has appeared typically gives voice to the leaders of ACORN or an ACORN sympathizer who senselessly characterizes the videos as a racist attack by conservative Republicans. Not to mention the Census Bureau's recent severed ties with the organizations and the Senate's overwhelming vote to withdraw any further HUD grants - merely a whisper at best from these so called "news" organizations. The...

Introduction: This is my fourth, and nowhere near last, edition in my series of exposes of Dr. Anna Chacko. The circumstances that surround this story are long and quite complicated. As such, I encourage all new readers to read my three previous pieces, here, here, and here. That said, I will try and summarize the story thus far as best I can so that readers can follow along. Dr. Anna Chacko is currently the head of radiology at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital. She has been there since October 2008. She is also, in my estimation, a Psychopath. Almost immediately following...
