A senior Democratic senator says Homeland Security officials are treating the economic stimulus like a bottomless pit of taxpayer money. North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan is calling on the Obama administration to suspend hundreds of millions of dollars in renovations to border checkpoints. The administration did not follow its priority list when choosing projects. That allowed lower-priority projects, including those in Dorgan's home state, to receive millions of dollars ahead of much busier checkpoints.
