Joe Wilson can apologize if he feels he should, but in my opinion, he should do so only after Rep. John Murtha apologizes to the Marines he accused of killing Marines in cold blood and the attempting to cover up the murders. In the middle of a war, where are Marines are trying to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people, John Murtha went on television and was adamant about the guilt of these Marines. More than once he said there was no doubt in his mind. His words were replayed across the Arab world. Since then, all...

Norway’s left-leaning prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, wants his nation to renew its commitment to one of the world’s most advanced social welfare models, which has weathered the global financial crisis with nary a wobble because of the country’s carefully managed oil riches. But as Norwegians voted in parliamentary elections on Monday, Mr. Stoltenberg, 50, appeared to be on the defensive. Many voters had already told pollsters that they were weary of the high taxes and open-door asylum policies they have associated with Mr. Stoltenberg’s so-called red-green government of laborites, socialists and agrarians. The polling booths opened Sunday and close Monday...

Here is video of Ann Coulter debating Juan Williams and Geraldo Rivera whether GOP Rep. Joe Wilson should apologize a second time for his "You Lie" Outburst, this time from the floor of the House. Juan Williams thinks he should have to, and believes Joe Wilson has helped Obama to galvanize support among Democrats in Congress. Ann Coulter does not think he should apologize anymore, and when Geraldo said he should, Coulter responded: "Republicans should do the opposite of what you tell them to do. Joe Wilson, Geraldo is not your friend." . . . (VIDEO)

Saving the planet has grabbed the imagination of the naïve in the same grip as the old worker's paradise promised by the Bolsheviks. These two manifestoes share the common elements of absurdity, dogmatic conviction and the predictable dimension that the more their doctrines are proved false, the more their advocates defend them. In the case of Bolshevism, people's courts, midnight executions and propaganda were the instruments of coercion; in the case of man-made global warming, it's the Internet, politicized scientists and a mentally disabled mainstream media. Disciples of world communism actually believed the workers of the world would unite and...

The times they are a-changin! Posted by Billy Kess on Monday, September 14, 2009 2:15:58 AM "Something is happening here, and you don't know what it is. Do you, Mister Jones?" Yes. Good song, I have to admit. Dylan's song writing is in a league of its own. One of the many who defined the so-called hippie generation. Indeed Bob Dylan was there. He wrote about it in songs like "Ballad of a Thin Man" and "The Times They are A-changin". It was an era that changed the nation. The time is the 1960's. Black people...

Anyone who follows BJG is probably aware that I detest RINOs more than just about anything else in the world. In many ways, I loathe RINOs even more than Democrats. Democrats are somewhat honest about their agenda – to turn our nation into a socialist third world cesspool. RINOs supposedly are on our side but usually end up stabbing us in the back and assisting Democrats in turning the United States into a socialist third world cesspool. The Stimulus passed because of Collins, Snowe and Specter. Cap and Trade made it through the House only because eight RINOs voted for...

Alinsky Rule #10, “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.”This Alinsky rule is much like Chinese water torture.Drip. Drip. Drip. Steady. Unrelenting. Drip. Drip. Drip. The festering sore first came to light in Baltimore. Those tapes were released on Thursday September 10th.Then, on Friday, it broke out in Washington, DC.Now, the pus filled, red, oozy spot has erupted in New York.[VIDEO AT SITE] Damn those isolated incidents. Second video from New York below the...

I just love Michael Moore and the rest of the libs. They live in mansions, and the only illegals they come across (if they come across any) are the ones who clean their pools. Anyway, here is where Michael Moore lives- "Traverse City Michigan": Take a look at this city in google maps! Looks like 1950's America! Beautiful architecture, mom and pop hardware stores! Clean streets, red white and blue bunting hanging from stores.

Here's the question: "Do you feel Members of Congress should be forced to enroll themselves in the health care plan they vote for?" http://fleming.house.gov/index.html

Well it didn't take long, did it? Pretty much by late afternoon on the day of the march, leftist bloggers and media pundits began trying to 'debunk' photos of the march, claiming the large crowd shown marching down Pennsylvania Avenue on the way to the Capitol Building was from another march, perhaps the one that supposedly showed up to honor the recently-deceased Ted Kennedy. Here are a few emails I received over the weekend and which I opened upon returning from the D.C. area: - "You people need to get over yourselves. Your ironically Strangelovian pursuit of a political strategy...

Days after the release of hidden-camera videos led to the firing of four ACORN workers in Baltimore and Washington who assisted an independent filmmaker posing as a pimp to apply for an illegal housing loan for a brothel, a third video has surfaced showing ACORN workers offering the same kind of assistance at the organization's office in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Reid Delays Senate Business for Specter Fundraiser Posted by Brian Faughnan September 14 Jobs, health care, energy, deficits, Afghanistan, the general war on terror - all these are things that Congress should be working on. Indeed, Democrats are endlessly telling us that whatever priority they have cooked up, must be passed right now! But when the Senate is actually scheduled to be in session - purportedly addressing your concerns - they are delaying official business to let Arlen Specter raise money for his re-election campaign? Reid announced Friday that the Senate would hold no votes after 3 p.m. Tuesday. His...

The bailouts have largely stabilized the financial system, but regulatory reform is needed to prevent another similar crisis from happening again, said President Obama in a speech delivered Monday on Wall Street. Marking the anniversary of the Lehman Brothers collapse, which set off a series of events that led to last fall's financial crisis, Obama talked about the state of economy one year later. "Although I will never be satisfied while people are out of work and our financial system is weakened, we can be confident that the storms of the past two years are beginning to break," said Obama....

I have been doing some research analyzing photos and crowd data to try and ascertain the crowd size of the 9/12/09 Tea Party protests (which I blogged on here). It seems the best, most recent reference point is President Obama’s inauguration, which was estimated at 1.8-2.0 million people. If you look at the pictures from last January’s Inauguration it looks at first glance like the Obama crowds dwarfed the Tea Party crowds. The Tea Party Crowds did not extend back the Washington Monument (there were other events on the Mall yesterday). On the flip side, the inauguration is a controlled,...

“How big is it?” is certainly one of the world’s most dreaded questions. In fact, after the Million Man March in 1995, Congress restricted the National Park Service from even making estimates — a restriction that was maintained for 14 years and then quietly rescinded this January for the Obama inauguration. I’m talking about crowds, of course. I can’t take you people anywhere. There have been a lot of estimates, from the “official” one of 60 to 70 thousand, up to the rumored 2 million. Let’s see if we can make a plausible estimate with some rigor and some idea...

The newspaper industry has done a lot of griping about the loss of their business model, but perhaps that has more to do with the loss of their credibility than with new technology. The latest survey on news media from Pew Research shows that Americans have the lowest opinion of the mainstream media in the entire time that Pew has polled on the subject. And now Democrats are almost as likely as Republicans to complain about bias in news reporting: The public’s assessment of the accuracy of news stories is now at its lowest level in more than two decades...

While the Obama-loving media jumped all over Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) for shouting "You lie" during the President's healthcare address Wednesday, few so-called journalists bothered to report what made the Congressman and others present so angry. On Sunday's "Meet the Press," former House Speaker Newt Gingrich did. After host David Gregory asked Gingrich whether Obama was acting like a president or a partisan Wednesday evening, the Speaker marvelously responded (video embedded below the fold, relevant section at 1:00): I can go through the president's speech and find a lot of things that I like. Then I go to the House...
