I think it's worth waiting for - and considering neither the phone copany or the cable company is going to have high-speed conection in this area until at least this time next year..............................

Living in the middle of wide open space (read middle of nowhere) does have it's disadvantages.....

No you won't - you'll just learn to keep your hands and hair out of the paint and only have one set of clothes to do such work in, just like I have learned (yeah right!!!!!)

Get a satellite dish and stop paying for cable that is out.

In about 4 years with Dish, we have had less than 15 minutes of out time due bad storms. Most of the time the down time was less than two minutes.

I will probably being going to satellite for my internet connections the end of this year or early next year. I will be able to drop the phone line I hog for my on line stuff. When that monthly cost and my msn.com monthly cost are factored together, that will just about pay for my monthly satellite fees.

Also, I manage our IRAs and will be managing my wife's self managed 401k. I need a lot fast connections than I have now. Also, the satellite is far more secure than a dsl or cable internet connection.

You are right about that GD. We went cable with two computers and it costs about the same as the extra phone + the server cost for two computers.

ROTFLOL .....I think it looks just like this new-fangled typewriter I use. You know, the one with the fancy screen. Latest thing in typewriters I think.
