I bought a tagline the other day,
only ate half, was gonna throw the rest away,
when I saw this kid, playin in the street,
I said hey kid, ya want somethin to eat?
 
he said huh?
I said tagline, son, and he started to scream,
and I'm standin, watchin him go,
half a pound of tagline
runnin through my fingers.

 

Well, the kid comes back in a minute or two,
he's got his ma with him, and the neighbors too,
they got the kid scared, it's plain to see...

they say which one done it?
he points at me

and says HIM !

I say wadda ya mean
and he says YOU! and he starts to scream
...and I'm standin...
and everybody lookin,
everybody starin
at me..

 

I say howdy doodie folks...
y'all waitin for the bus
must be a little late...

let's find somebody with a watch
and stare at them!

 

Well, some start pickin up baseball bats,
and others are pullin the pins from their hats...

well, I've had some trouble, times before,
but none like the trip to the tagline store,
I sympathize with the kid, alright...
