"Now I'm a monthly donor and can post with no guilt and the quarterly fundraiser is no longer to be feared. So all you people who aren't monthly donors (or donors at all), be good to yourself and sign up. Guilt free posting is just a few dollars a month away."

Thanks, John!

Freepers and Lurkers - if you're not already doing so, please consider a donation to Free Republic. Monthly donations are most helpful, however ALL donations are greatly appreciated!

Can you spare 17 cents per day? Great! Join Grampa Dave's Monthly Donors Team.

$5.00 per month too much right now? Consider MonroeDNA's $3.00 per month challenge.

Even your loose change can add up to a nice donation. Join Exit148's Loose Change Club

Some may believe that a $1 (~3 cents/day), $2 (7 cents/day), or $3 (10 cents/day) per month donation is insignificant. What they need to realize is that, as kayak said, "while large donations are great, often it is the small ones that are sacrificial and inspiring. Every penny that is donated is greatly appreciated and helps to pay the bills." All donations are important and appreciated.

Please consider a donation to Free Republic today.

Thank You for your support!

I wouldn't trade that childhood for anything.

I wouldn't either. But that was then and this is now. LOL

One snowstorm: I'm pretty sure this was when dad had the VW bug and not the MG Midget, but anyway we had a sled caravan. One sled tied behind another and dad pulled us through the streets of town. Can you imagine that happening today!?

Thanks for the Siamese shot. One of my long departed Siamese, Buttons , was a sweetheart of sweethearts. He could make you melt as he gave you "the look". I miss him still.

I'm away... down to Home Depot for a paint sprayer... gotta keep up with Curly and Moe on the deck roof. Hopefully, they won't burn the house down today.

That would make you Larry then, eh? LOL

You put your right paw in; you put your right paw out....

A picture of my late father's kitten; Fluffy has grown quite a bit since that picture and has my mom trained quite well now. (She refuses to eat unless mom "stirs" the food in her dish.) ;)

My late husband had 3 Siamese cats when we married. The oldest cat (Munchkin -- light gray with blue eyes) relinguished her alpha cat position to Clyde when the Sealpoint brother and his sister Bonnie joined the family. However, once I joined the family, Munchkin reclaimed her alpha role. Guess she decided that as long as there were changes taking place,... Besides, she had her weapons! The other two were declawed; Munchkin only had her front claws removed and she liked to flex the ones that remained. LOL

Bump back atcha.

(You have FReepmail, btw.)

LOL! No way! Kids can't do many of the things we did.

I guess you grew up in a small town as I did. We used to go "belly whopping" with our sleds on the only hill in town and we would "hitch rides" on the bumpers of cars, without the driver knowing, when they stopped at the stop sign at the top of the hill.
