sounds like the ESPN crew may not have wanted him and they pushed the outrage.
ESPN does not know the long term ratings mistake they made.

Today Rush has more than one black caller say they've been listening since 1988. Never heard one thing that could even be misconstrued as racist...

Looks to me like Rush was Fired by the Mouse.

WHERE was your prediction? Here's mine, time stamped at 7:23pm pt, some 90 minutes before this thread was established.

Why? Did McNabb not know he was black?
If Rush said McNabb was a good at sports because he was black...THAT would be racist.
To say the Media trumped McNabb up because he was black is not racist. Rush is frying the Media.
Because Rush said the word Black is the red herring here.

Exactly.

No, it isn't. He's the one who introduced politics and social commentary into a SPORTS SHOW. I believe he just was being himself..but that's not what this show was about. He was right to resign.

But won't the story about the drugs come out tomorrow anyway?I don't see his resigning stopping that. Liberals may have gotten him off ESPN but they'd rather get him off the radio.

"I think he would've done a great job, but that was one idiotic comment on a classic hot button topic."
I agree. Rush should know the media has a zero-tolerance policy for idiotic comments by conservatives; liberals are cut a lot more slack. I honestly thought Rush could keep politics out of his NFL job, but I was wrong. I guess when you've done a solo show for years, you forget how to discipline yourself.
To: Calpernia
Because Rush said the word Black is the red herring here. There you go!! You hit it right on the head. If you are conservative, don's mention the word black!!!!!
To: rdb3
Amen--I'm not a republicrat either.

Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and hear what he has to say tomarrow. I am disappointed also, but want to hear what he has to say FIRST. I respect him enough for that at least.
