I think I'm going to cry. I really wish Rush would have hung in there. I think most people would have been behind him.

Those formal "polite" letters sound so retarded. They think we're all stupid.

WAKE UP!!!!!!

Here, Here Rose! This is despicable. Even so, having said that, Rush's comments were very ill conceived and he should have saved them for his radio show rather than national TV. Dumb, dumb, dumb...
Now, having said that, I can't believe it has all happened this fast. Good Lord...it just started. ESPN is full of a bunch of wimps. And Berman's a democrat? So disappointing.

Exactly. It's something he wanted to do, but probably became more trouble than it's worth. He doesn't need it, and ESPN couldn't take the heat.
It's a shame that political correctness has become so entrenched in our society. Anyone for a nice reading of "The Elderly Man and the Sea?"

Well, the reality is, it's over now. They can't lead this out to a long process. The Dem's won, but also lost out.

Damn My thoughts exactly. I was hoping Rush would put up a fight.
My question is, will those 10% of new ESPN viewers stick around now that Rush is gone?
Hit 'em in the pocketbook. Stop watching and let their ratings, and the profits, slide.

Well, I expected this. It was a VERY STUPID thing for Rush to say. Not that it was true or not, nor that he intended to be racist or not. Rather, HE is the spokesman for conservatives in the USA, he is and has been a huge target of the left. He should have known that the libs would jump all over anything, anything he said that even hinted at race. He misjudged the backlash on this and THAT is the biggest surprise.
A big black eye for conservatism and so much for Rush knowing libs like the back of his hand. He really miscalculated on this one!!
Too bad. It was obvious Rush really wanted to work with the NFL in any capacity. His big mouth cost him a dream.
