I only included instances of t-shirts in school. FRee Republic is dedicated to grassroots conservatism. Look, I'm not here to make up positions to ascribe to Roy Moore. I'm relying on the man's own words. I'm probably the only poster here who actually sat down and read his testimony. When I say he disagrees with that proposition, it is because he has said so.

Yep, then Christ came and fullfilled the law. The New Testament Christian does not need to sacrifice animals because Christ was the sacrifice.

Yep, and the Old Covenant(Covenant of Law) passed away, and we entered the Covenant of Grace. The laws handed down to and for the Isrealites, and there adherence to them, were no longer "the way to heaven". Thus, the Ten Commandments, which were the LAW OF THE ISRAELITES, were no longer law. And nowhere did Christ ever indicate that the Ten Commandmenst were meant to be the laws of earthy governments.

Alas, we've wandered into hypothetical-land now. When his avowed intention is to celebrate his religious beliefs about what he sees as the moral foundation of the law, there's really no need to discuss things like the historical foundation of the law. Nevertheless, if he had wanted a display about the historical foundation of the law, he could easily do what has been done at the Supreme Court building, and display a variety of lawgivers from the ages, both secular and religious.

You're completely misreading his words. His position is this: God grants rights. The Consitution protects them. That's perfectly in line with the views of the Founders.

Which has nothing to do with having the ten commandments in a court building. What is the purpose of it anyway?
