Let BRAVO Know What You THINK About Their Homosexual Agenda!

This morning I decided to let BRAVO have an earful. Here is my email:
"As a DirecTV subscriber, I am notifying you I am permanently blocking BRAVO from my menu on my DSS receiver.
Your push for homosexual-'friendly' programming demonstrates your pandering to an audience that exhibits behavior that is not only detrimental to their own health, but the health and safety of families everywhere. I refuse to risk allowing my children to see promo material on your channel, so I find it necessary to block BRAVO and will encourage others to do so. Your advertisers will no longer reach me or my family members, and I have let DirecTV know of our all too easy decision to block BRAVO.
You may consider a homosexual audience on worthy of pursuit, but families who treasure their own lifestyles think otherwise."
I encourage others to let both BRAVO and their cable/DSS companies know that you're blocking their agenda-pushing programming!

Hey, looks like you are trying to take this thread BACK on topic. Don't you know that the trolls don't want to address the thread, just homosexuality in general?
Well, we could always talk about the War on Drugs. That'd bring out the spewing invective. :->
Good comments by the way. NBC has already indicated plans to take this program to NBC broadcast networks as well. More of Bravo's homosexual programming will follow.
When they were advertising the queer eye show, they followed it with liberal amounts of woman-flesh in a commercial for that Las Vegas show. I'm watching this thinking "how much different is watching this from feeding in quarters to a adult book store movie booth"?
NBC has said that they are abandoning family programming in an effort to be more "hip" and edgey.
They ought to listen to Michael Medved. Traditional values still outsell all other offerings. One can only come to the conclusion that they have agendas other than making money.

Ok, but you need to understand that gay people are not trying to destroy your kids.
***** *** **
Obviously you do not have GLSEN trying to get to the public school children. Newsflash, all homosexual "tollerance" groups are about teaching children to affirmativly engage in homosexual sex. It is waaaaaay beyond teaching protection. These groups engourage homosexual experimentation and demonstrate mechanics.

Since that's illegal and is not going to happen, I'll have to reply, "No, I won't be saying that." Handy hint: It's not a good debate tactic to bemoan "false and specious" arguments and then following that statement with a false and specious argument two sentences later.
You're right, what was I thinking? Just because Adultery, Nudity, Buggering, and spitting on the sidewalk were also once illegal is no reason to assume that other barriers will fall.

No one chooses to be gay. Years ago, Barbara Walters was doing a laudatory interview of a gay celebrity couple - Melissa Etheridge and her lesbian "wife". The main point of the feature seemed to be to celebrate gay couples and portray them as perfectly normal. I could only stomach maybe 3 or 4 minutes of it, but I wanted to shout "Whoa! Stop! Rewind that again!" when Melissa's S.O. was telling how they met. In her own words, she described being happily married to some man who had some kind of recording industry job. According to her, she wasn't already looking to leave the marriage, nor was she attracted to lesbianism. But when she met Melissa, the force of her personality was so great that it just swept her away. She divorced her husband and entered into a lesbian relationship. And I'm thinking, "Hey! Don't they realize that even though they're trying their darndest to promote gay behavior with this TV feature, they just aired something that blows away one of their main talking points - namely that people are either born gay or they aren't?"
So much for the lie, "no one chooses to be gay". Certainly I would agree with a statement like, "many people did not choose to be gay". But the blanket statement you made is untrue. And as long as their are a large number of adolescents who could tip either way in their sexuality based at least partly on the cultural messages they soak in, then the issue of "recruitment" will always be important - especially to conservative parents. It's not the big "non-issue" the Left (and quasi-libertarian brainwashees of Hollywood) pretend that it is.

Since we got TIVO, we don't watch commercials anymore. We watch recorded shows, and skip the commercials. It's great! TIVO allows you to skip commercials? Or do you just fast-forward them?

And how does GLSEN trying to get to the public school children have anything to do with Queer Eye?
To: dogbyte12
... most probably correct.
and the louder they scream, the harder it is to assume any other explanation.

I wrote to um. This whole exercise in shows that make light of depravity is sickening. I thought Bravo was going to be a station dedicated to the interests of men. Real men.

Karl Marx Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions.
From the above quote, it seems that Marx believed that economic security would make religion irrelevant. (Apparently, there are other major reasons to find religion beyond our economic background, since in rich America religion is common.)
Communist regimes probably twisted Marx's words, because communism never provided economic prosperity; if anything, it created the "need" for more religion among the communist serfs.

the twin studies have been pretty much discredited due to the wild discrepancies of operational definitions. Actually, they haven't. Even crackpot organizations such as NARTH and "gaytostraight.org" concede the validity of the studies. Their critique is based almost entirely on the notion that despite (among others) the Bailey-Pillard study's demonstration of a much greater degree of commonality in sexuality within identical twins than non-identical twins, the commonality was not 100 percent.
As I stated, "biological basis" does not mean sole basis. The fact that there is a statistically significant correlation between identical twins and homosexuality establishes my premise: that there is a biological basis for homosexuality. Other factors certainly exist as well. But biology is one big part of it, and people who claim otherwise are either ignorant or willfully trying to spread a lie.

mental illness may or may not be genetic. I think that gay men suffer from a variety of mental obsessions and fixations, the vast majority in my opinion are not related to genetics -- in my opinion.

the argument is that shows like queer are attempting to normalise the sexual behavior. The premise of the show is men who like to insert penises in other men have more knowlege than men who don't. In other words be smart put your penis in----.
for FYI: this is GLSEN in their own words.
this is the link should you want to listen to the actual
tapes of these clases. No, the materials have not changed, they just outlaw tape recorders in training
classes for teachers.

The Homosexual Movement in Massachusetts Schools
On March 25, 2000 the Massachusetts Departments of Education and Health teamed up with the national gay and lesbian group GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) and conducted a conference for school children and educators. The conference was held under the guise of tolerance and safe schools. However, as the Parent's Rights Coalition discovered, this conference was about teaching children the unsafe mechanics of homosexuality. Following the conference, organizers denied claims of misconduct made by the Parent's Rights Coalition. Organizers were forced to concede the truth after the Parent's Rights Coalition made public an audio recording from the conference, which substantiated their claims. A free copy of the Parent's Rights Coalition audio tape can be obtained from the Massachusetts News web page. Alternatively, if your computer is audio capable, then you may listen to the following 10 audio clips, in order, to hear the entire contents of the free audio tape. A word of caution to parents: These audio clips contain graphic sexual language and are not appropriate for children. Note that these clips were created for the RealPlayer program. If after clicking on the audio clips below you determine that the RealPlayer program in not on your system, you may be able to obtain a free copy of RealPlayer Basic under the Real home page located here.

No you are thinking of Spike (Viacom's channel for men). So far, Spike has added the "new" Ren & Stimpy to the schedule and they are gay now (lots of jokes about who's the pitcher and who catches).
NBC announced that they would be increasing the homosexual fare on Bravo (which was an arts/entertainment channel).

Buddy, your demands are pretty tiresome. You seem at least somewhat literate. Go to Google yourself and type in "biological basis homosexuality" and lo! Many, many articles describing what I have asserted! This is on top of my decade-old genetics studies, which (even back then) made it quite clear that there is a biological basis for homosexuality.

The five guys are swishy as all get-out, but they don't spend the entire hour parading around in Speedos or anything.
No, the grooming guy and the cooking guy are fairly masculine, making only a few obligatory queer remarks for humor. Actually, the entire gay dialogue is camp upon camp. I think the cook and the grooming guy would, in ordinary life, be rather normal and personable, rather unremarkable even. They might even post here at FR. Perhaps using names like...oh, I don't know...MineralGuy or in-man-69. But I digress...
Oh, yeah, when Tivoing through the show, I saw the fashion queen try to lure the straight guy into trying on a pair of Speedos. He refused but got the fashion queen to try them on for him. And I noticed another scene where they were fitting one of these guys for a pair of trousers and it looked like they groped him while fussing over the crotch line and fit.
I think the show is pressing something of a psychological strategy for physical intimacy between sodomites and normal men. There is a definite sense of trying to knock down the barrier. This should not surprise greatly given the number of sodomites whose sole interest is in seducing normal men to their degraded lifestyle. Sodomites are as tweaky over normal men as some normal men are over lesbians.
Perhaps it's all too German for me to explain.

Now, if you're gay, you wern't born that way. You can change your ways with therapy. I'm straight. I'd hate to think that with therapy I could change my "ways".
To: longtermmemmory
The premise of the show is men who like to insert penises in other men have more knowlege than men who don't. Somehow I did not get that impressionwatching the show, but maybe I don't think about men putting their penises in other men as much as you judging by your familiarity with all of that material.
To: finnman69
As george Carlin would say.... "why don't you bend over and let's see what happens"
This thread is degenerating nicely.
To: George W. Bush
Perhaps it's all too German for me to explain. LoL! I have military buddies who come home from Germany thinking that every native German male is queer.
