Since we got TIVO, we don't watch commercials anymore. We watch recorded shows, and skip the commercials. It's great!

TIVO allows you to skip commercials? Or do you just fast-forward them?

You have the ability to program the TIVO to do a 30 second skip, so you can skip through the commercials.
