The Free Republic 3rd quarter FReepathon is underway!

Howdy everyone. Time to get rolling again on raising the funds necessary to keep FR on the air. We've accomplished quite a bit in the last few years on FR, but there is much more work to be done. FReeper activism was an important factor in Clinton's impeachment effort as well as helping to block Al Gore's attempted theft of the White House. And more recently, FReepers organized and supported hundreds of rallies in cities all across the nation countering the peaceniks and rallying public support for our President and our troops. I thank God that George W. Bush was our President on 9/11 instead of Al Gore! And I thank God for the tens of thousands of patriotic FReepers who worked so hard to help make that happen!

The next 18 months or so are going to be supercritical in our continued fight against liberalism. The liberals will be attempting to retake control of our government and they will no doubt pull out all stops in regards to corruption in fundraising, campaigning and electioneering. And we still have the Clintons and their followers waiting in the wings. Even though President Bush enjoys high popularity ratings, anything can happen.

We must double and redouble our efforts to block the liberals and win a landslide election for Bush and the Republicans. If we give Bush and the Republicans a conservative mandate and a filibuster proof Senate then we will have an historic opportunity of appointing and approving a conservative court and a possibility of overturning decades of liberal activist rulings!

It's time to get this show on the road! I'm urging a nationwide FReeper drive to register voters and get out the conservative vote. This is not an election where we can afford to stay home or sit on our hands or register protest votes. Every conservative vote is critical!

And, as always, we must remain diligent. FReepers gathering and disseminating relevant news items, exposing and refuting liberal lies, propaganda and corruption coupled with our nationwide rallies and protests and activism are making a difference.

Looking forward to an exciting election cycle and many years of conservative successes to follow.

Thanks very much for your continuing participation and support!

FReegards,

Jim Robinson

I just had a phone call from Gavin in Maryland. He found out where he will go after his schooling... almost everyone there is getting sent to Korea, but he is one of the few who will go to Germany. That is cool. He gets to come home first for the last couple of weeks of September.

$60K X 4 Quarters; That's... (mumblty-mumblty...) $240,000 a year.

Golly!; nearly a quarter of a $mil a year to keep a website like this up and running?

I knew it had to be expensive; but that (especially to an unemployed Mainer) seems like a pretty hefty tab!

There is of course, a publicly accessable accounting for expenses vs. revenues... isn't there?

Ooh! Can I join the Loose Change Club? That'd be a GREAT way for me to donate! (I only make about $30-$60 a month, so I have a tight budget--and alot of spare change.)

You only make between $30-40 a month? Maybe I should send my loose change to you! LOL!

I checked your home page and I see that you are a home-schooled teen, so now I understand. I think it is great that you want to and would be able to part with some pocket money -- for such a good cause.

When this present fund is over, and when I get back home to my home territory, I am going to put a post on what I'm doing, and even a breakdown of it so that even the most strapped can help. I'll ping you when I do.

Thanks for your interest. You sound like a pretty special Freeper!

Why thank you! ^-^

I'd like to give something back to FR, but like I said, I'm on a tight budget. :)

Loose change is a great idea, btw. It could really add up. I once took all the pennies, nickles, and dimes we had and rolled them up (i have a little coin sorter) and it came to about $70 worth of coins. That could help FR out a bunch!

The thread you want to make is a good idea, too. A lot of people can't give out a ton of money, but almost everyone has loose change. And I appriciate the ping.

Has anyone else joined the Loose Change Club or whatever its name is? Just curious.

Talk 2 U l8r.
