HELP KEEP THE LIGHTS ON: JOIN THE FREEPATHON AND SUPPORT OUR SITE !!!
First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway
....

The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!
Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.
The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.
Thank you all very much for your continued support.
P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

Computers are wonderful but sometimes malicious contraptions. I just noticed that my tag line had disappeared and I'm sure my computer stole it.
Mine is a very mean-spirited and spiteful computer. It sends me nasty and offensive notes regularly and several times a day it tells me I have performed an illegal function and then shuts itself down.
That is an outright lie! I have NEVER in my life performed an illegal function!

how come it feels like monday?
oh, work. You can say that again; I've got just the worst job of my life here.....I'm looking for another....only been in this one since September (since I moved to NY); I absolutely hate it......how dreadful it is to get up and not look forward to going to work. My last job, I think in 4 years I had that feeling just for a few days.....there was a "problem employee" who eventually got fired.....she made it miserable there, for everybody....once gone, it went back to normal....everyone got along. Loved working there....oh to find a place I can feel that way with again.....
