First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway .. Thread 4

.... ...

The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

Thank you all very much for your continued support.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

Donate to FR and help us keep the lights on for the best political forum on the NET!

Thanks for posting this, Grampa.

I was planning to do a search later today to find out what the Scott Ritter story was all about. (Been out of the news loop since the FReepathon started.)

I hope this means he'll be ashamed to show his face and we won't be seeing him all over the TV!

   Massive plea for peace
In a protest that was equal parts politics, theater and whimsy, more than 40,000 people gathered in San Francisco on Saturday to oppose a military strike against Iraq. Many believe it was the largest anti-war demonstration in the city since the Vietnam era.

Marchers
With a U.S. attack on Iraq possibly weeks away, tens of thousands of anti-war protesters staged large, boisterous rallies Saturday in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and other cities around the world in an effort to deter military action.

Juan says we don;t have the ability to wage 2 or more wars at once..DUhhhh!!!! He should ask clin-tong why we lost so many numbers of well-qualified mititary men and women due to a butchered armed forces dumped on at every turn. Bleepin' idiots press.. If we go to war, lock these bums up first... It's all about oil!
