The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

I saw a VERY interesting news story on FNC yesterday about how these protestors are ignoring the devastating environmental damage that has been done in IRAQ by Hussein. Selective caring...so convenient.

I saw that also and another thing they are ignorong are the pictures of people in Iraq that have been tortured due to orders given from Saddem and his whacked out sons

Years ago I use to work with some folks that escaped from Iraq and I have heard the stories .. Saddem and his merry gang of goons are NOT nice people ..

All these peace nit wits seem to care about is protecting Saddem ..

What did President Bush said .. you are either with us or against and it would seem that these nit wits are supporting the terrorists

I keep trying to remind myself that these protestors are, in part, what we are fighting to protect. The right of ANYONE to be able to say what they want to say...compared to, say....IRAQ? But I will NEVER understand nor support the mindless, rhetoric these bozos espouse! They have NO idea that the very freedoms they are indulging in, are illegal in the regimes they aim to protect.
