Immigration: Where is the OUTRAGE??
The Sierra Times ^ | Dec. 20, 2002 | Jackie Juntti

Posted on 12/21/2002 8:57:28 AM PST by madfly

I have been surfing the many news pages for months, and all the headlines, for the most part on a daily basis, mention the "War" in the Middle East. It is either Iraq, bin Laden, Palestine, Saudi Arabia or the like. Many articles about America going to fight over in that part of the world - the pretext being that we are fighting "terrorism".

I have yet to see headlines about the Invasion of America on our Southern Border. The SILENCE is deafening on this topic. The only time I read articles related to the Mexican invasion is when one or another ILLEGAL INVADER is spotlighted as not being able to get "instate tuition" at some tax funded school, or one of them needs very expensive medical care. All of this type of "news" coverage is based upon the bleeding heart mentality that we rich Americans should be opening our national door and bringing in all who wish to come and benefit from our years of hard work.

We have laws regarding "immigration" and we have a procedure to be followed to legally enter America. Many foreigners follow those rules and eventually are able to enter - legally - and then apply to become citizens. I welcome each and every one of those people. Members of my family originally entered America in this manner, coming in through Ellis Island. Another part of my family was here to greet them, as they were native Americans.

I can't fathom the silence of the media in reporting on the stealth invasion of America by all those who avoid detection at legal entry points. I can't understand why they are not making this a daily headline, with the numbers in bold print as they did during the Viet Nam war with the body counts.

I can't fathom why Bush, Cheney, Colin Powell, Ashcroft, and all those in Congress are not doing daily press conferences, alerting Americans to the invasion that has been, and continues to take place every single day of the year.

Where is the OUTRAGE they had following Sept. 11th? Do we need planes diving into buildings and fires raging in order to stand in front of cameras saying that AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK!!!

Why are the leaders of this nation so silent on this INVASION at our Southern Border? What is the back room deal that has been cut to keep the Welcome Wagon Ladies standing there, tables heaped high with goodies paid for by the America taxpayer? Why are we not condemning Vicente Fox for sending in his stealth operatives as we condemn Osama bin Laden and his ilk? What is the difference?

We have almost daily "ALERTS!" about some threat of some kind from the "terrorists" but nothing about the INVASION of AMERICA from Mexico and elsewhere. Why is there such SILENCE on this matter?

Recently, Rudy Giulliani went to Mexico as a consultant to deal with the alarming crime rate there. In fact, he was alleged to be the target of a kidnapping attempt while there. I hope "dealing with the Mexican crime rate" doesn't mean sending them North to the U.S. Vicente Fox and his Coyotes have been doing that job already, and quite successfully.

I can hardly wait for Sen. 'Chatty' Patty Murray of Washington to hold a press conference exclaiming how Fox & Coyotes have built schools and all those same good things she is now applauding bin Laden for. Perhaps we will have Jim McDermott standing along side of her telling of his recent visit and how wonderful those folks are that just want to find a "better life" in America. Even better would be for all this to be "Bipartisan", and all those GOP politicians could stand with them pushing open the borders so everyone can have a miserable life when America is finally brought to her knees by the INVASION taking place before our eyes.

I am telling you, there is something mighty strange going on. America is being invaded and the leaders of America are pushing to open the gate even wider to the invaders. They have already granted AMNESTY to thousands and now want to grant more options for the last wave of invaders. They are keeping a lid on any news that exposes this invasion - twisting it to promote only the "plight" of those poor downtrodden ILLEGALS, so as to build up more bleeding hearts to open our homes to the invading troops. They won't even refer to them as what they are - illegal invading troops - they refer to them as "undocumented aliens" - that is supposed to make us feel sorry for them and to ignore the fact that our laws have been violated.

We also have George W. Bush - the president of AMERICA - opening the Social Security benefits to Mexicans. I guess welfare, education, health care, housing, unemployment, isn't enough. We need to send them SS checks too.

Maybe we should bring Rudy Giulliani back here to deal with the ALARMING CRIME RATE in the Federal Government. We have men in high places openly subverting American law and our Constitution. If nothing else, maybe Rudy, with his recent experience at attending funerals, could officiate over the death of America as we knew it.

Where is the OUTRAGE?

Bye, bye, Miss American Pie, Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing 'This'll be the day that I die, 'This'll be the day that I die.'"

Fox was elected to improve Mexico which he has not done, therefore millions of his citizens are trying to escape the horrible conditions there. There is no good reason prosperity ends just north of the Rio Grande ---or if you wish the Rio Bravo. Mexico is actually a very wealthy country but the wealth is concentrated in just a few greedy corrupt families.

No kidding. I spent an afternoon recently reading the plans for the America's. FTAA is not a good thing. I think they plan to have it in place by 2005.

"...the average American White sees that it is a problem."

Really? What about the majority of non-white Americans including those of Latino descent?

Have you not seen the polls that show that a majority of them believe that massive, uncontrolled legal immigration and illegal immigration are problems, as well?

Legal immigration still works and should be used by anyone wanting to come to America to stay. All others, should leave if they are now here illegally, and efforts to stop the wave of illegals should be made immediately. Illegal immigration has nothing to do with isolationism!

"An overwhelming majority of Hispanics considered Latino-against-Latino discrimination to be a problem, although views varied according to people's backgrounds. For instance, Colombians and Dominicans were more likely to consider such discrimination a problem than Puerto Ricans."

That's because it's the light-skinned Puerto Ricans that are discriminating against the dark-skinned Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Colombians. The results of the year 2000 Census show that 80% of Puerto Ricans in Puerto Rico consider themselves white and they sure don't want any dark-skinned Dominicans on the island.

Some of the most racist jokes you'll ever hear are told by Puerto Ricans about Dominicans.

Take a look at the governor of Puerto Rico and the majority of the rest of Puerto Rico's politicians. They're as light-skinned as Mexico's governor and the majority of Mexico's politicians.

Take a look at all of the Miss Puerto Ricos that there have ever been. See how many dark-skinned beauty queens you'll count.

How about the most popular recording artists, actors and actresses in Puerto Rico?

Latinos have absolutely no right to call anyone else a bigot or a knuckledragger. Latinos have more than their fair share of haters.

Here's an article right out of the San Juan Star in Puerto Rico. Read it and weep, Ficklin.

Puerto Rico: Illegal immigration from D.R. culture clash

"... (the light-skinned Puerto Ricans) even barring them (dark-skinned Dominicans) from eating in the cafeteria or drinking from the water fountains, 'because they might get them dirty'..."

The question is, is Ben Ficklin going to accuse the San Juan Star of hate-filled rhetoric or accept these words as the truth they are?

The topic is illegal immigration, not 'isolationism'.

"Mexico is actually a very wealthy country but the wealth is concentrated in just a few greedy corrupt families."

What're you willing to wager that Mexico's wealth like Puerto Rico's wealth is concentrated in just a few greedy, corrupt, light-skinned families that are driving all of their unwanted, dark-skinned, fellow Latinos to the continental United States?

The Free Republic is the internet's premier "hate the mexicans" web site.

The only Mexicans that I hate are Mexican illegal aliens, but then I hate ALL illegal aliens, regardless of their country of origin.

Latinos have more than their fair share of haters.

All you have to do is look at Mexico ---they treat their servants very badly and the Mexican elite despises the campesinos. It's no surprise to me that over 80% are reporting discrimination from what supposedly is their own kind. Of course "own kind" is misleading in itself because those are artificial categories they've made.

Tell me that the Fox/Coyote analogy qualifies for anything except the rhetoric of hate.

Let me be the first to inform you that Mexico is one of the most corrupt countries on this planet. Their political, social, and law enforcement systems are based on bribery and corruption. If you are intent on finding examples of "hate", you will find it, no matter how hard you have to look, and no matter how flimsy your "evidence" is. Have fun.

Someone can hate or dislike Fox and his smugglers without hating every illegal. Actually he and his cohorts should be the ones made to leave Mexico, the place would be better off without it's oligarchs.

"Do some research on the FTAA"

Out on the plains it is known as the "Wheat and Meat Corridor". The maps are on pgs 6 & 7.

"...the Mexican elite despises the campesinos."

Yeah, and Ben Ficklin will join Mexico's, light-skinned, wealthy elite in their fight for the dark-skinned, poor Campesino's right to get the hell out and stay out of Mexico!

Ficklin's got a lot of nerve calling Americans "knuckledraggers".

The race-baiting hypocrite.

More race baiting? And here I thought Lott had stepped down and it was all over, lol.

No, seriously--you misunderstand people. They are concerned about the welfare and future of their birthplace--the place their children will inherit when we die. No one wants to think about their kids growing up in the kind of world that the overwhelming Third World immigration will create.

Another FReeper once said something to the effect of, Americans are generally docile when not directly threatened--but when they perceive a threat to their children, stand back. The uncontrolled illegal immigration from the Third World (not just Mexico) will ruin this country. I will not hand my children another Somalia, or another Mexico. I will not do it. If I have to stomp all over the feelings of every Mexican in Mexico to stop this insanity, I will. And I won't let people like you, people that have no balls, no will, and no vision, to stop me either.

See, people like you will never win. You have no passion to win--you have nothing worth fighting for. The rest of us do. Eventually, we will solve the immigration problem--and we don't care if you think it is hate or not.

Of course you know that this all started with Reagan and Thatcher. Turn the whole world into a Market Economy. And it is happening, slowly but surely. Virtually every nation has made their headways in market reforms. And even though you know nothing about them, Mexico has made theirs.

All the nations will continue in this direction. Putin will attempt land reforms. Fox will attempt energy sector reforms. He will also try for Mexican Constitutional reforms. Should we blame him if he fails. No. After all Zedillo couldn't get it thru the PRI controlled Mexican Congress and he was a PRI member. On the other hand Zedillo did get political reforms passed that enabled PAN Fox to be elected.

Let me remind you that a market economy includes a free flow of good/services, capital, and labor. The opposition to a market economy exists everywhere and it is fierce. But wherever you go, to whichever country, the opposition is always the left and the right against the middle. In Mexico that is anti-reform wing of the PRI party aligning with the PRD socialist party against the PAN party and the moderate members of PRI. In spite of what FITZ says, the Mexican moneyed elite is the anti-reform group, and Fox is not a member of that club. The opposition alliance in the US is exactly the same. Did you see Pat Buchanan holding hands with the socialists in Seattle? Solidarity!

Will there be setbacks? Yes, Gov Davis has tried to re-establish the Crowning Heights. The socialists are winning some elections in South America. But you see, the Reagan/Thatcher movement is only 20 years old..........

Aw, c'mon Ben! People on these threads don't hate Mexicans (which, for most of them means ANYONE who speaks Spanish within their earshot--even if they're fifth-generation American). Matter of fact, most are equal opportunity haters--they'll hate anyone who is not a native-born WASP. Generally tend to be also anti-free market, anti-trade, fortress America types of the "hey, let's slap protectionist tariffs on all products coming into the country" ilk; who'd only hire native-born anglo, protestant Americans who have been here 3 generations and who don't--god forbid--eat tortillas instead of WonderBread, regardless of whether or not they have the background for the job--cuz those rich evil capitalist NWO owners OWE the AMERICAN worker (even if it's for an engineering job for which none of the American candidates have the necessary engineering background). After all, we don't need anybody else coming in here and ruining this Christian country for the good, decent folk whose ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War. We can grow our own food and build our own products with our own people.

Sound about right? Well, I suppose at least I'd rather the poison be spilled in public where it is obvious for all to see...

Civil war will erupt long before this nation gives way. People will not let their country slip from their fingers. You are shortchanging the American people. There is still fight in them, even if they have forgotten about it. All they need is a good leader--and unfortunately, we do not have that right now.

Perhaps in 2004 we will try and fix that, though.
