Immigration: Where is the OUTRAGE??

I have been surfing the many news pages for months, and all the headlines, for the most part on a daily basis, mention the "War" in the Middle East. It is either Iraq, bin Laden, Palestine, Saudi Arabia or the like. Many articles about America going to fight over in that part of the world - the pretext being that we are fighting "terrorism". I have yet to see headlines about the Invasion of America on our Southern Border. The SILENCE is deafening on this topic. The only time I read articles related to the Mexican invasion is when one or another ILLEGAL INVADER is spotlighted as not being able to get "instate tuition" at some tax funded school, or one of them needs very expensive medical care. All of this type of "news" coverage is based upon the bleeding heart mentality that we rich Americans should be opening our national door and bringing in all who wish to come and benefit from our years of hard work. We have laws regarding "immigration" and we have a procedure to be followed to legally enter America. Many foreigners follow those rules and eventually are able to enter - legally - and then apply to become citizens. I welcome each and every one of those people. Members of my family originally entered America in this manner, coming in through Ellis Island. Another part of my family was here to greet them, as they were native Americans. I can't fathom the silence of the media in reporting on the stealth invasion of America by all those who avoid detection at legal entry points. I can't understand why they are not making this a daily headline, with the numbers in bold print as they did during the Viet Nam war with the body counts. I can't fathom why Bush, Cheney, Colin Powell, Ashcroft, and all those in Congress are not doing daily press conferences, alerting Americans to the invasion that has been, and continues to take place every single day of the year. Where is the OUTRAGE they had following Sept. 11th? Do we need planes diving into buildings and fires raging in order to stand in front of cameras saying that AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK!!! Why are the leaders of this nation so silent on this INVASION at our Southern Border? What is the back room deal that has been cut to keep the Welcome Wagon Ladies standing there, tables heaped high with goodies paid for by the America taxpayer? Why are we not condemning Vicente Fox for sending in his stealth operatives as we condemn Osama bin Laden and his ilk? What is the difference? We have almost daily "ALERTS!" about some threat of some kind from the "terrorists" but nothing about the INVASION of AMERICA from Mexico and elsewhere. Why is there such SILENCE on this matter? Recently, Rudy Giulliani went to Mexico as a consultant to deal with the alarming crime rate there. In fact, he was alleged to be the target of a kidnapping attempt while there. I hope "dealing with the Mexican crime rate" doesn't mean sending them North to the U.S. Vicente Fox and his Coyotes have been doing that job already, and quite successfully. I can hardly wait for Sen. 'Chatty' Patty Murray of Washington to hold a press conference exclaiming how Fox & Coyotes have built schools and all those same good things she is now applauding bin Laden for. Perhaps we will have Jim McDermott standing along side of her telling of his recent visit and how wonderful those folks are that just want to find a "better life" in America. Even better would be for all this to be "Bipartisan", and all those GOP politicians could stand with them pushing open the borders so everyone can have a miserable life when America is finally brought to her knees by the INVASION taking place before our eyes. I am telling you, there is something mighty strange going on. America is being invaded and the leaders of America are pushing to open the gate even wider to the invaders. They have already granted AMNESTY to thousands and now want to grant more options for the last wave of invaders. They are keeping a lid on any news that exposes this invasion - twisting it to promote only the "plight" of those poor downtrodden ILLEGALS, so as to build up more bleeding hearts to open our homes to the invading troops. They won't even refer to them as what they are - illegal invading troops - they refer to them as "undocumented aliens" - that is supposed to make us feel sorry for them and to ignore the fact that our laws have been violated. We also have George W. Bush - the president of AMERICA - opening the Social Security benefits to Mexicans. I guess welfare, education, health care, housing, unemployment, isn't enough. We need to send them SS checks too. Maybe we should bring Rudy Giulliani back here to deal with the ALARMING CRIME RATE in the Federal Government. We have men in high places openly subverting American law and our Constitution. If nothing else, maybe Rudy, with his recent experience at attending funerals, could officiate over the death of America as we knew it. Where is the OUTRAGE? Bye, bye, Miss American Pie, Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing 'This'll be the day that I die, 'This'll be the day that I die.'"

These are not new Americans, they are Mexicans living in the U.S. They sure are. They continue to speak Spanish; they sprout up Hispanic grocery stores; and they bring more and more of their kin here.
I am so tired of shopping around people speaking Spanish, of seeing groups of them replacing someone's roof, knowing that none of them have Green cards and probably crossed the border last month. I frequently see one of them showing the newly arriveds the aisles in the grocery store with "their" products. It now involves every state in the nation. It is no longer just a problem in our border states. Hospitals and emergency clinics here in VA are being overburdened with their desire for "free" healthcare.
When will it stop? When will the 49% of Americans who care about the Southern border being overrun make an effort to impress the 14% of Congress who cares, that more of the CongressCritters need to care or we are going to vote them out of office?? It so disturbs that Pres. Bush continues to cave to Vicente Fox's demands. It may be the one issue that costs him the next election, and he'll probably never get it.

You might have missed the recent report on the survey taken recently:
"An overwhelming majority of Hispanics considered Latino-against-Latino discrimination to be a problem, although views varied according to people's backgrounds. For instance, Colombians and Dominicans were more likely to consider such discrimination a problem than Puerto Ricans."
Kind of interesting because over 80% hispanics report that they've been discriminated against by hispanics.

Also interesting in that report ---American blacks seem to be the true social conservatives of all groups ---it's a little odd they don't vote that way:
"Among foreign-born Hispanics, 51 percent said they found divorce acceptable, compared with 65 percent of U.S.-born Hispanics, 59 percent of blacks and 74 percent of whites. There were similar differences among those who found abortion acceptable: 14 percent of foreign-born Hispanics, compared with 29 percent of native-born Hispanics, 28 percent of blacks and 43 percent of whites."

I suspect you'll find a lot of people of Mexican ancestry who oppose these recent policy changes and want tighter borders. That's a good point too because certain people assume all hispanics want open borders which isn't true at all. The only reason Silvestre Reyes become well known and elected to Congress because he put Operation Blockade and Operation Hold the Line into place, he was viewed as tough on illegal immigration and his mostly hispanic (of Mexican ancestry no less) region respected him for it.

Please explain in detail why you think that Free Republic is the internet's premier "hate the mexicans" web site. Please also show where you get your information from, ie. specific URL's.
Also show me where in my posts that I "hate the mexicans". I'm requesting this because I frequently post threads about illegal immigrants.
I have attached the link to my four latest threads to make this easier for you.
Can You Help America?
Can You Change America? Part 2
Survey of U.S. Hispanics released
ALPHABETICAL LISTING OF LAPD'S MOST WANTED CRIMINALS
which by the way are primarily Hispanic.
Are you sure that we need these people who refuse to obey our Title 8 "Immigration laws"? Would you feel comfortable having them in your neighborhood? Are you comfortable with illegal alien drug dealers, child molesters, carjackers, muggers, robbers and murders in Texas. After committing a felony in America, these Hispanic criminals run back down to Mexico, buy a new set of identification papers and once again sneak across our border.
Are you sure that you wouldn't prefer having immigrants who legally enter into the US through our INS stations after being examined for their health records and criminal backgrounds. They are then photographed and fingerprinted for identication accuracy before being given their visas. I'll take the legal aliens for my neighbors any day over the illegals.

Where is the OUTRAGE?Political Correctness, which has been perfected by the liberals in conjunction with their partners in crime, the liberal press, has scared silly anyone in power or anyone with any influence, into taking a stand against anything that is right.
To: madfly
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R.Colo.) has been a lightening rod on the immigration issue out in the Rocky Mountain west. He has been excoriated mercilessly and demonized by the lefty news media, in particular the Denver Post.
Believe me, Madfly, the outrage is there. We out here are cheering Mr. Tancredo on. The borders should be shut immediately until a sensible immigration policy is adopted into law. What passes for policy now is a joke...a bad joke!!
To: Ben Ficklin
"Fox and his coyotes" looks more like a bad pun than anything else. There are even high school sports teams named "Coyotes" so I don't think it's that much of an insult. There's plenty of room to disagree with the rhetoric of the article, but it's pretty clear that countries that don't watch and protect their borders are headed for trouble.

Nice to hear that. The Denver Post would have us believe otherwise. We are very grateful to Cong. Tancredo on here. It was nice to see him get a big win in the election. While the congressman in my state (AZ) remained silent on border security and other illegal immigration problems, Mr. Tancredo flew down to the AZ/MX border many times and reported on the matter on O'Reilly.

"Tell me that Fox/Coyote qualifies for anything except the rhetoric of hate." The author of this editorial, Jackie Juntti, said that "Fox and his Coyotes" are responsible for exporting Mexico's crime problem north over Mexico's border and into the United States.
This last year since 9/11 over 1.8 million illegal aliens, mostly Mexicans, have invaded our country and Fox has done nothing to stop it.
The "Coyotes" are based in Mexico and are working with the blessings of Senor Fox and 'ipso facto' for Senor Fox.
No, that isn't the rhetoric of hate. It's the plain truth.
"If the shoe fits, wear it."
You're welcome to keep your stinkin' shoe. It fits you just fine.

I know ---it seems they don't hold his actions while he was in Border Patrol against him. Most people along the border know full well what kind of crime is going on on the other side and definitely don't want open borders. It's easier to want them open when you're sitting comfortably far away from the borders and want to make sure you've always got someone to do your gardening for you very cheaply.

To say that it is Fox's responsibility to regulate the US's immigration policies is ludicrous. The citizens of the US want these illegals here, so they will come. Nor is it Foxs responsibility to deny the American citizen access to drugs.
The Coyotes are based in Mexico and the US and are working with the blessings of the Americans and ipso facto for the American citizen.
You need to try to see beyond your nose. Illegal immigration is not the problem, only a symptom of the problem.
You can argue with the statistics all you want, but a declining white birth rate and an aging white population are a fact of life. All you knuckledraggers need to accept reality.
To: 4Freedom
Wow. I've used "Fox and all the little foxes" (..."are spoing the vine...")from the Bible and it wasn't called 'hate rhetoric'. Sounds like the left is really stretching. Don't let it bother you.

It sure as hell is Fox's responsibility to control his own borders. He has the Mexican military controlling his southern border or hadn't you heard?
It also sure as hell is Fox's responsibility to interdict the flow of illegal narcotics. We have threatened to revoke Mexico's most favored trade status, because they failed to live up to their end of an agreement to do just that. You probably didn't know that, either.
Illegal immigrants are here against the wishes of the majority of American citizens, irrespective of their race, color, gender, religion, political affiliation, etc.. Another thing you didn't know.
"...declining white birthrate and aging white population..."
"All you knuckledraggers need to accept reality."
All you know-nothing, name-calling, personal attacking, liberal, race-baiting pukes should go get bit.

Do some research on Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) which is already in the works.
