Immigration: Where is the OUTRAGE??
The Sierra Times ^ | Dec. 20, 2002 | Jackie Juntti

I have been surfing the many news pages for months, and all the headlines, for the most part on a daily basis, mention the "War" in the Middle East. It is either Iraq, bin Laden, Palestine, Saudi Arabia or the like. Many articles about America going to fight over in that part of the world - the pretext being that we are fighting "terrorism".

I have yet to see headlines about the Invasion of America on our Southern Border. The SILENCE is deafening on this topic. The only time I read articles related to the Mexican invasion is when one or another ILLEGAL INVADER is spotlighted as not being able to get "instate tuition" at some tax funded school, or one of them needs very expensive medical care. All of this type of "news" coverage is based upon the bleeding heart mentality that we rich Americans should be opening our national door and bringing in all who wish to come and benefit from our years of hard work.

We have laws regarding "immigration" and we have a procedure to be followed to legally enter America. Many foreigners follow those rules and eventually are able to enter - legally - and then apply to become citizens. I welcome each and every one of those people. Members of my family originally entered America in this manner, coming in through Ellis Island. Another part of my family was here to greet them, as they were native Americans.

I can't fathom the silence of the media in reporting on the stealth invasion of America by all those who avoid detection at legal entry points. I can't understand why they are not making this a daily headline, with the numbers in bold print as they did during the Viet Nam war with the body counts.

I can't fathom why Bush, Cheney, Colin Powell, Ashcroft, and all those in Congress are not doing daily press conferences, alerting Americans to the invasion that has been, and continues to take place every single day of the year.

Where is the OUTRAGE they had following Sept. 11th? Do we need planes diving into buildings and fires raging in order to stand in front of cameras saying that AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK!!!

Why are the leaders of this nation so silent on this INVASION at our Southern Border? What is the back room deal that has been cut to keep the Welcome Wagon Ladies standing there, tables heaped high with goodies paid for by the America taxpayer? Why are we not condemning Vicente Fox for sending in his stealth operatives as we condemn Osama bin Laden and his ilk? What is the difference?

We have almost daily "ALERTS!" about some threat of some kind from the "terrorists" but nothing about the INVASION of AMERICA from Mexico and elsewhere. Why is there such SILENCE on this matter?

Recently, Rudy Giulliani went to Mexico as a consultant to deal with the alarming crime rate there. In fact, he was alleged to be the target of a kidnapping attempt while there. I hope "dealing with the Mexican crime rate" doesn't mean sending them North to the U.S. Vicente Fox and his Coyotes have been doing that job already, and quite successfully.

I can hardly wait for Sen. 'Chatty' Patty Murray of Washington to hold a press conference exclaiming how Fox & Coyotes have built schools and all those same good things she is now applauding bin Laden for. Perhaps we will have Jim McDermott standing along side of her telling of his recent visit and how wonderful those folks are that just want to find a "better life" in America. Even better would be for all this to be "Bipartisan", and all those GOP politicians could stand with them pushing open the borders so everyone can have a miserable life when America is finally brought to her knees by the INVASION taking place before our eyes.

I am telling you, there is something mighty strange going on. America is being invaded and the leaders of America are pushing to open the gate even wider to the invaders. They have already granted AMNESTY to thousands and now want to grant more options for the last wave of invaders. They are keeping a lid on any news that exposes this invasion - twisting it to promote only the "plight" of those poor downtrodden ILLEGALS, so as to build up more bleeding hearts to open our homes to the invading troops. They won't even refer to them as what they are - illegal invading troops - they refer to them as "undocumented aliens" - that is supposed to make us feel sorry for them and to ignore the fact that our laws have been violated.

We also have George W. Bush - the president of AMERICA - opening the Social Security benefits to Mexicans. I guess welfare, education, health care, housing, unemployment, isn't enough. We need to send them SS checks too.

Maybe we should bring Rudy Giulliani back here to deal with the ALARMING CRIME RATE in the Federal Government. We have men in high places openly subverting American law and our Constitution. If nothing else, maybe Rudy, with his recent experience at attending funerals, could officiate over the death of America as we knew it.

Where is the OUTRAGE?

Bye, bye, Miss American Pie, Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry. Them good ol' boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing 'This'll be the day that I die, 'This'll be the day that I die.'"

Fighting illegal immigration doesn't contribute to the establishment of our new police state.

Frankly, I'm tired of the use of the term "Invasion", with all respect to Michelle Malkin.

It's not an "invasion," it's a migration or an illegal immigration.

Period.

And it's not happening because of some dark and nefarious plan of the Illuminati, it's happening because we don't have the political will to stop it.

I hope that it will become a political issue "real soon now," but I don't really see much sign of it.

An "invasion" is with tanks and troops and holding of territory. This is a migration. Such migrations have occurred from time to time throughout history; indeed, many of the peoples like the English and the Australians, and even the Americans, who are considered legitimate tenants of their lands, got where they are today, because of migrations that were somewhat resisted but inevitably and inexorably took place.

That's human history.

So what do we want to do about this one? That's the political question, but putting it in military terms is inappropriate.

Someone once said, "All politics is local" Until the immigrant swarm hurts you, most people don't care.

It's more like an invasion because the Mexican government is staying in control over these people. It's not like any of them read the US Constitution one day and decided they wished to be Americans, they wish to stay Mexicans, they'll continue to be governed by the Mexican government which is setting up all kinds of political branches throughout the USA.

"President Vicente Fox appointed 100 U.S. residents to advise his government on relations with the world's No. 1 economy and on policies for Mexicans living in the U.S.

The 100 advisers, a mix of academics, community leaders, business leaders and politicians, will "advise the government of Mexico on the design and formation of policies for Mexican communities in the U.S." a Foreign Relations Secretariat statement said."

These are not new Americans, they are Mexicans living in the U.S.

Until the immigrant swarm hurts you, most people don't care.

On the other side of the coin, if you've experienced it for a long time, you begin to realize that there's NOTHING you can do about it. All civilizations die from within. What makes you think the US was going to last forever?

Ted Kennedy's immigration "reform" bill of 1965, signed into law by Lyndon Johnson. This bill effectively limits European immigration and opens the floodgates Third World immigration. These immigrants will normally vote for those that promise them a "free ride" and give it to them.

"Among Hispanic groups, Mexicans had the lowest proportion of full-time, year-round workers with annual earnings of $35,000 or more (21 percent). Overall, Hispanics were less likely than non-Hispanic Whites to have earnings of $35,000 or more (23 percent compared with 49 percent)".

-----------------------------------------------

I wonder how many Americans want these poor paying jobs? Older retired folks oe young Americans just out of High School?

-----------------------------------------------

"Among Hispanics, 66 percent were of Mexican origin; 14 percent were of Central and South American origin; 9 percent were of Puerto Rican origin; 4 percent were of Cuban origin; and the remaining 6 percent were other Hispanics. The country's overall Latino population was close to 33 million, or 12 percent of the total population."

-----------------------------------------------

When viewing census statistics, keep in mind that our Census Bureau identifies Hispanics amongst the "White".

Putting it in military terms is not inappropriate, our sovereignty is under attack by globalist elements inside our own government and it's time to call it what it is, expose them and deal with them.

The only outrage heard is on the still free of govenment control internet and Bush is working night and day to put and end to that. When the government itself is precluding any possibility of stopping this nonsense unless it is a militia response it is a war. The first hero's of this effort are guarding the borders of private property as we sit here comfy and type, in shame and disgrace, while they pull the weight and put everything on the line including their lives. So frankly I don't give a flying monkey if you are "tired" of hearing it put in military terms.

The Free Republic is the internet's premier "hate the mexicans" web site.

I suspect you'll find a lot of people of Mexican ancestry who oppose these recent policy changes and want tighter borders. Talking of "hate" is an easy way of avoiding serious discussion of our future. Proponents of policies have to make their case on its own merits, and not just accuse others of hatred. And if you're looking for "hate sites" there are a lot of other sites that better fit the name.

QUESTION: "Immigration: Where is the OUTRAGE??"

ANSWER: There is none. People are too busy eating, drinking, drugging, copulating(with boys and girls),evacuating and snoring.

Illegal immigration is stoked by the US EMPLOYERS and BUSINESSES who hire these people.

Until anger is directed at the builders, landscape companies, hotel conglomerates and industrial facilities and farms that hire the illegals, it is totally ineffectual to complain.

Penalise the businesses and watch the migrations dry up.

Now who, if any politician has the guts to cut off the gravy train for these companies.

I agree that this issue should be "un-hystericalized."

But at this point, a military presence is required on the border to stop the flow of illegals from the one side, and the armed unofficial (but completely legal and understandable) re-action from the other. Both reasons are why we support a government in the first place.

The military presence may not have to be permanent. But at this juncture, the border must be stabilized, order must be restored, and we must know who is in the country, and more important who is trying to get in who should not be.
