[history]
At first, it seemed like debris. Large objects were falling from the top of the World Trade Center's north tower, just a few minutes after American Airlines Flight 11 hit.
"It took three or four to realize: They were people," says James Logozzo, who had gathered with co-workers in a Morgan Stanley boardroom on the 72nd floor of the south tower, just 120 feet away from the north tower. "Then this one woman fell."

I was across the street from WTC that day. What I saw that day still haunts me - I have never witnessed anything so horrifying as what I saw that day. I still have nightmares about this a year later. Reading this brings the day back in focus and my eyes are tearing. If my finger was on the button, Afghanistan and whichever country involved in this would be a lake by now.
May we never, ever forget.

It's worth mentioning that, if you go to the website there is a picture . . . but proceed cautiously -- I wasn't expecting it.

The sight of people jumping saved lives, too. In the south tower, people had a close-up view of people plunging to their deaths from a building that was a mirror image of their own. "I looked at a couple of people jumping, and that was it. I'd seen enough. I said, 'We've got to get the hell out of here,' " At least some did not die in vain.
Rest in Peace my friends, you will be avenged 100 fold...

Not generic religious nuts. Islamic monsters. Do NOT blame religion for what these evil people did. God didn't make them do it. Each one of them made a conscious decision to commit these acts.

There's been speculation that the country is losing its way on the war...That's because the damned leftists are saturating the airwaves with defeatist drivel. Why? Because they want to win elections. They're repugnant.

To safeguard people from falling bodies and debris, authorities blocked the main exits from the lobbies to the street. Instead, people escaping from both towers were sent through an underground shopping mall and under the outdoor plaza where bodies were falling.I would submit that they were people or terrorist victims until the moment they hit the ground, and only then did they become "bodies."

If Bush provides a basic connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda, then every member of Congress should be made to watch the most horrific footage from 9/11 just before casting their vote for war. Just my opinion.

Amen.

European media showed much more footage of people jumping from the towers than our media did. It was a lot worse than we were told.

Yes, the current party line is to delay, obstruct, or even cancel an attack on Iraq. I've debated it myself, both here and elsewhere. Bottom line? Look at the photos again. Watch the videos.
Iraq might have been involved in Black Tuesday. For me, that's good enough!!!!. Don't even ask about how I feel regarding those we can prove conclusively. Nukes are too merciful. We need to get Roman Empire, Caesar - style on them.

Typical of our media -- they glorify violence all the rest of the time, but when we really need to see it, they censor it.

I'm glad USA Today published this story. If I had a relative who had jumped, it would be an odd sort of comfort to me to know that nobody survived from those floors, and that there was nothing anybody could have done at that point. If any of their relatives torture themselves with the idea that they maybe could have gotten out if they hadn't jumped, this story might help. There was no way they could have survived, and if I had been on one of those floors, I would likely have jumped, too, rather than burned or suffocated.

Jesus come quickly Actually, there's no hurry. We have too much to do, too many evildoers to exterminate, too many fools to enlighten.

There is a name for the spiritual entity who tells people to murder to order to become stronger. It is not G*d.

We have a war to win, and we must do so by ANY means necessary. The animals who performed, planned, and supported this atrocity deserve absolutely ZERO mercy. And no, their countries do not deserve to continue existing, either. They have forever discarded that right. And why are the Saudis apparently getting a free pass, I wonder?
