Cant find words!

But the article brought tears to my eyes. I agree with the coroner's assessment that these people were victums of homacide to call it suicide or anything else would be ludicrous!

I'm planning on posting a small essay about my thoughts and feelings about what happened on 9/11/01 on the main forum, thought I dont know under what category to put it on.

There are things I never told anyone since then of what was going through my mind at the time.

An absolutely devastating comeback. I bet your friend was speechless. We should all write to our papers, TV stations, etc. with some variation on that theme.

This is another good thread, although a few people had a hard time with it at the time it was posted. Overall, it was somehow cathartic.

What Was It Like?

Bump.

As far as I'm concerned, every person in those photos should be hunted down and taken to a tall building and tossed off.

We either deal with them right now or our children will be dealing with them in the future.

Finally, an article in the mainstream that doesn't sugarcoat what happened that day.

Right back at ya. I've been bouncing around the threads this afternoon, and the number of (presumably) loyal, conservative Americans who believe that the Terror War is some kind of "sham", or that "Iraq's not a threat", is absolutely disheartening. If it's that bad at FR, of all places, how much worse is it out in the general population?

I've even seen people here whine about "thousands of casualties", "quagmires", and other such LEFTIST boogeymen. As if the recent history of the U.S military didn't totally refute that crap once and for all. They even pull out that whole "It's all about the OIL!" malarkey. Were they even AWAKE on Black Tuesday?

I'm sorry for the rant, but the tinfoil-hat crowd is as worthless sometimes as the Left. BOTH seem to want us to lose, and BOTH deny the reality in the photos and stories that started this thread. It's frustrating, especially to those of us who count on the support of our countrymen during our daily lives. This same idiocy caused our ignominous withdrawl from Viet Nam.

Are you really unconscious when you land?

No, although some were probably in shock from the fall. They would be numb, but not unconcious. Most likely, not one of them felt a thing at impact, as their bodies disintegrated in a small fraction of a second.

There were no babies among the casualties.

I guess it was a sack of flour. Thanks for setting me straight, Mr. Know-it-All.
