Friday on FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said he saw Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) emerging as a leader in the Democratic Party.
He predicted a civil war with Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) lining up against former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
“[T]he DNC is supposed to unite the party, but what we’re watching live is a civil war inside the Democratic Party, and they’re fighting for new leadership,” he said. “And this is what’s going to happen. Remember, AOC did this exact same thing a couple years ago and the party tried to shut her down when she would primary other members in Congress. But she raised the most money of any member in Congress in the last quarter. She’s getting the biggest crowds.”

I am not so sure. There are no moderate democrats anymore in the party with a voice. Really, politically Trump would have been a Democrat 40 years ago (he was actually). The (non-government)Unions, the workers, the actual taxpayers, the small business people, farmers, they are now the enemies of the Democrats. I don’t think they can make it back to the middle anytime soon.
Normally, I’d agree. Sandy Cortez has tremendous charisma, however. I don’t like that fact one bit, given that she’s a loud, idiotic, obnoxious jackass. But she’s wildly popular with the ‘You Go Girl!’ crowd, and her sex appeal can’t be ignored. Nor can the fact that she’s a Latina. Combined with her message of victimhood, free money, and taking down ‘The Man’, she’s a political pied piper. My cat has more intellectual horsepower than those who follow her, but there are many such people out there.
It doesn’t matter. Whoever the communists choose is the one that will be presented to the voting public as their “choice”.
Dem voters, being mindless drones, will fall in line.

Obama has the ‘cool’ gene. AOC doesn’t. The you-go-girl elementary is for women whose minds go blank when challenged. I can’t picture her winning a debate with any intellectual element.
Do Biden or Pelosi have enough gas in the tank to be relevant in ‘26, much less ‘28? How feeble is The Bern?
And don’t forget Hogg Hitler, trying to launch a “beer hall putsch” against the party.
I keep reminding people that the Democrat US Senators voted 45 to 0 to have men play in women’s sports—not one “moderate” among them.
The Democrat “moderates” have zero political power—not even one U.S. senator they can call their own.
