Is MAGA a Political Movement or Is It a Revolution? Here’s Your Sneak Peak Into America’s Future.

“Look, Bill, if this is about reliving the '60s, you can forget about it, buddy. The movement is dead.”

“Yes, of course! Hence the name: movement. It moves a certain distance, then it stops, you see? A revolution gets its name by always coming back around in your face. You tried to kill me, you son of a b***h, so welcome to the revolution.”

Ah, that wonderful slice of dialogue from the classic American film, “Under Siege.” (Like so many of you, I turn to Steven Seagal flicks for their pearls of philosophical wisdom.) In the scene above, actor Tommy Lee Jones (who, coincidentally enough, was college roommates with future VP Al Gore) feigns being a radical revolutionary to mislead government officials over his true intentions. (I’m hesitant to reveal anything else; as I’m sure you know, Steven Seagal movies are globally renowned for their clever plotting and subtle literary allusions, and I’d hate to ruin all the twists and turns.)

Oh, also: Playboy Playmate Erika Eleniak plays a Playboy Playmate. (And I gotta say, she was super-believable in that role.)

But this snippet of dialogue raises a compelling question: When does a movement become a revolution? And what does the future hold for MAGA?

Revolutions and movements are both time-tested vehicles of social change. If you wanna shake up the status quo, a movement and/or revolution is the fastest way to go. The difference between the two is often a matter of scope.

Movements are usually meant to reform a societal failing — to preserve what’s good and modify what’s bad — while retaining most of the infrastructure. Revolutions have loftier, more far-reaching ambitions, seeking to overhaul society from top to bottom.

KEYWORDS: maga; movement; revolution
Because revolutions have such far-reaching ambitions, revolutionaries feel entitled to utilize far-reaching tactics. A movement relies on propaganda, PR, and persuasion to make a point; a revolution uses a point to put heads on a spike. Movements are associated with political and social pressure; revolutions are associated with political violence and assassinations.

What, then, will be the future of MAGA?

Right now at least , MAGA is still a movement. Movements are usually meant to reform a societal failing — to preserve what’s good and modify what’s bad — while retaining most of the infrastructure.

I too take much of my intellectual guidance from Steven Seagal movies, but I thought we were going to put all the women into those Handmaid’s Tale outfits, weren’t we? Or the men too now that men can have babies? I’m confused...

If anything it’s a counter-revolution be definition.

Indeed, America has been undergoing a steady and increasingly aggressive Neo-marxist revolution, from radicals centered in Washington.

Many people are sick of the chaos and act accordingly - although it does not necessarily mean the revolution is over.

that's called "Thermidorian Reaction," which comes from the French Revolution.

MAGA only survives and thrives if President Trump has successors who follow enumerated doctrines and principles.

This goes beyond the label of “conservatism”.

Where is the nation now?

What are the roots of national failures?

Do solutions need to just end the failures or reverse them?

“Is MAGA a Political Movement or Is It a Revolution?”

Reminds me of:

“Tea Party movement, conservative populist social and political movement that emerged in 2009 in the United States, generally opposing excessive taxation and government intervention in the private sector while supporting stronger immigration controls.”

Both emerge due to the vacuum left from no organized GOP Party. The GOP party is nothing that energizes votes because it seems that they are in it for themselves and don't do anything for constituents. Thus, the emergence of a grassroots conservative organization that actually has incredibly large appeal.

Seriously, in NYS the State GOP Chairman is Ed Cox (Nixon SIL) who has done absolutely zero for the state's Republicans, zero. He remains in power because the states 62 County GOP Chairmen keep voting for him - which is reflective of how bad they are and why there is no county organization either.

Restoration is what is happening, not really revolution.

We and the younger generations have really been robbed of what many Americans before us suffered and died to establish.

It seems like a revolution because large plurality today is so unhinged: Communist, atheist, hedonist, nihilist, all embracing falsehoods and lies. Uneducated, arrogant, purple-haired, tongue-bolted and face tatted idiots. History, philosophy, mathematics, science, economics all unknown to them. Curiously exceptionally stupid.

Even a partial restoration of normal civilization and standards of behavior of fifty years ago will be a great relief to everyone.

MAGA has rooted out the John McCain wing, finished Romney, and pretty much edricated the RINOs.

Had the RINOs not joined the DNC to stop Trump in 2020, MAGA would be going away. However. MAGA got four more years to outlast the RINOs while in exile. The next four years will see Trump seize the USG from Obama’s DNC.

A few more SOCTUS picks and firing all those in a repeat of Bill Clinton will clean up the courts.

The military may well have to arrest Miley and some others. Dealing with the CIA, FBI and DEI is a matter for new judges.

Ending race and gender prefernces and incentives will repair race relations.

Make colleges responsible for their own loans.

Mission accolplished.

It is a demographic shift. Conservatives have 2 to 4 children on average. Leftists have 0 to 1. Do this for few generations and the Leftists tend to breed themselves out of existence or at least into the dark corners of society.

Demographics is destiny.

Yes it is. Another trend helping us is the left aborts their children, very tragic but true. A lot of the children of the left also end up being trannies.

The plans of the democrats define a clear revolution.

No one is saying it except people in the public who have been
keeping their nose to the ground (so to speak).

Unfortunately, leftists running the schools from kindergarten through university get their filthy hands on many of those 2 to 4 children and turn them into a new generation of leftists ...

Unfortunately, being a conservative parent does not guarantee that your children will turn out conservative. If the educational system and overall culture is woke and liberal, there will be a significant number of youths who will be left and woke,

If Trump doesn’t rip out the guts of the current Republican Party and replace it down to the janitors these establishment trash will wait him out like they did Reagan and then go right back to the same old corrupt useless GOP.

Aside from Reagan, Trump and Gingrich for a brief period what has the Republican Party done? The Bush’s were failures and the Republican controlled congresses are laughing stocks because they are so corrupt and traitorous.

Unless Trump makes major changes these liberal establishment trash will simply wait him out, it’s their club and we are allowed in if we follow their rules: give them $, shut the hell up and not embarrass them in front of their good friends across the aisle and vote the way they tell us.
