President Trump and his running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), struck a major nerve with their comments earlier this month on the Haitian invasion of Springfield, Ohio. Now, one far-left non-profit group representing the Haitian community wants them prosecuted for exercising their First Amendment rights.
New 5 Cleveland reported Tuesday that the leader of the nonprofit Haitian Bridge Alliance filed several bogus charges against Trump and Vance in Springfield’s Clark County Municipal Court, for sharing stories about Haitian migrants in the town allegedly eating pets and wildlife, according to the law firm representing the group.
The Cleveland-based Chandra Law Firm, which is representing the non-profit, revealed that the group was able to press charges by utilizing a state statute that allows private citizens to “file an affidavit charging the offense committed.”
Per News 5 Cleveland, here are the charges they filed against the GOP ticket:
Disrupting public service — by causing widespread bomb and other threats that resulted in massive disruptions to the public services in Springfield, Ohio; • Making false alarms — by knowingly causing alarm in the Springfield community by continuing to repeat lies that state and local officials have said were false; • Committing telecommunications harassment — by spreading claims they know to be false during the presidential debate, campaign rallies, nationally televised interviews, and social media; • Committing aggravated menacing in violation — by knowingly making intimidating statements with the intent to abuse, threaten, or harass the recipients, including Trump’s threat to deport immigrants who are here legally to Venezuela, a land they have never known;

Discovery should be interesting.
$400M fine coming right up.
LOL. All of Haiti is “non profit.”
Now Democrat lawfare has gone mainstream.
More toxicity spread by the Democrats to destroy democracy.
True Words are “criminal?”
I don’t understand the article. Prosecutors file criminal charges, not non-profits.
The GOP doesn’t know how to fight these tactics...
That right there is a hoot.
It’s just a headline grab by a lawyer to attack Trump. Will get tossed but we’ll be able to talk “about the seriousness of the charge” instead of the facts.
Discovery should be fun & gross at the same time. Any of BBQ’s buddies in Springfield?
The non-profit cannot file charges.
The Ohio law only allows a “private citizen” that is, a natural person, a human, to file charges.
It has no standing to make this complaint.
GOP congress needs to cancelling funding to this organization
The one run by the mayor?
Since when is accusations illegal and subject to criminal charges?
And this could be interesting in light of the video that was posted here earlier today that stated it caught on video the very eating the cats thing Trump is talking about.
It’s not slander if it’s true.
Not a smart move. It just brings more attention to the issue, which is not what the Haitians want.
And, when Trump is elected he needs to order audits on all non-profits aiding illegals and temps
Some do, but they're either nutless faggots, or in on the law fare.
My sister lives 50 miles outside of Bangor ME.
A bunch of Haitians was shipped in, and now, at least 16 pet kitties have gone missing.
Facts.
I was thinking 400 septillion for starters. You just gotta find a nice leftist judge.
