WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida lashed out at the media Monday after networks declared former President Donald Trump the winner before some caucus sites had started voting.
“It is absolutely outrageous that the media would participate in election interference by calling the race before tens of thousands of Iowans even had a chance to vote,” said DeSantis spokesman Andrew Romeo. “The media is in the tank for Trump and this is the most egregious example yet.”
The news broke at a caucus site here right around the same time a surrogate for Mr. DeSantis had taken the stage to sing his praises.
Mr. DeSantis has been growing increasingly frustrated with conservative media outlets, accusing them of shielding Mr. Trump from scrutiny.
“[Trump’s] got basically a Praetorian Guard of the conservative media. Fox News, the websites, all this stuff,” Mr. DeSantis said at a recent campaign stop, alluding to Roman emperors’ bodyguards.“They just don’t — they don’t hold him accountable because they’re worried about losing viewers and they don’t want to have the ratings go down.”

BEFORE: Desantis predicts Trump will declare Iowa stolen if he loses.
AFTER: Desantis declares Iowa stolen after he loses.
I saw several people interviewed on TV today who were still on the fence, but planning to caucus. That’s actually what the caucuses are about, for people to debate their vote, so it’s actually you who doesn’t understand what a caucus is.
You are just making things up, in your shortsighted, biased defense of elections being called early, simply because you got the result you wanted, this time.
Whatever, bulldog.
We’ll see how it comes out down the stretch.
I have faith. Do you?
I’d say desanctimonious should be charged with election interference, then.
desanctus was trying to discourage people who might caucus for Trump, by making it seem that Trump had already lost.
This would make people less likely to go, if they thought Trump was alreadly planning to say Iowa was stolen from him.
Clearly desanctus was suppressing the vote.

Hilarious! Fact-based and accurate!
An interesting debate theory, that. ;-)
I wonder how long before Ronnie Boi “suspends his campaign” and runs back to Florida with his hairless tail between his legs.
AZ vote was close.
IA vote was landslide.
You see the diff bro?
More proof that DeSantis isn’t a rational thinker. Trump has no Praetorian Guard in the media, least of all Fox News. 🤣
Awww...Did Rhonda Dee Sanctis break a heel?
Well said, and really illustrates how much choosing the wrong staff of advisors, can impact a candidacy.
Ron surrounded himself with Never Trumpers who cultivated social influencer types that were also Never Trumpers — they wined and dined them in 2022 & early 2023 — no matter where the influencers tried to influence, they were tainted by “never trump” rhetoric.
Their never-Trump influencing, tainted him and normal voters recognized it and voted accordingly.
Now? Everyone caused the loss, but him and his advisors! Waahh! Wahh!
Amazing how RDS is stealing stuff from talk radio that refers specifically to the liberal deep state and is twisting that and falsely applying it towards Trump.
So you’re going to try to just skip on by you claiming that I didn’t know what a caucus was, when it’s now clear you are the one who didn’t know? Sounds about typical.

A caucus is a political party gathering in which party members choose candidates for an election. At a caucus, participants may debate about the candidates….
So while they were supposed to be debating about who they are going to vote for, every network called the election already over. But according to some Trumpers here this is right and good! Kudos to the Trumpers here who admitted it was clearly wrong, as there are a few. Good night.
I’d like some expert who knows these kinds of things, to explain with numbers, how DeSantis was ‘cheated’ out of votes.
His supporters mostly say MSM called it too early and suppressed votes, or rendered votes meaningless. Potential voters either cast votes for Trump belatedly OR didn’t bother to turn out at all, assuming Trump already won.
So what are the specific figures, (any number cruncher, please weigh in!):
How many votes per county, would have to be suppressed, for RDS to win the county? Or how many counties needed to give him the win, instead of all 99 going to Trump?
etc etc.
I’d really like to see from RDS supporters, how the numbers would work to ensure him a win over Trump.
>> Good night.
‘bye now. You’ll feel better when you wake in the morning! And then the awesomeness of President Trump’s massive Iowa victory will wash over you...

ME TOO! But I seriously doubt that explanation is forthcoming... ‘cause it’s bullshit.
You even know what a caucus is or attended one??
Hey, DeSanctimonius; just to bring you up to speed here, FUX NEWS and all their pig eyed sacks of shit talking heads HATE TRUMP.
Just letting you know as a favor.
Ahh. The beauty of Never Trumper tears. You RAT moles can go back to the DU now.
Yep....
desanctimonious said recently that he had 30,000 commited caucus votes going into the caucus...
That seems to be a lie (what else is new), because he only got about 23k votes.
And for him to beat Trump, in the simplest terms, for every one caucus vote desanctus got, he would have to steal one person that was voting for Trump, to have beat Trump....
or, for every 10 people tonight, 5 voted for Trump, and 2 for desantis, 2 for haley, 1 for vivek.
For desanctus to have won, he would have had to steal more than 2 person from Trump
Not likely to have happened.
