CNN Gets Roasted for Absurd Chyron Warning Constitution is 'Outdated, Puts Democracy at Risk'
Western Journal ^ | 9/12/23 | Joe Saunders

The few remaining viewers of CNN got a remarkable dose of news on Saturday.

Just in time for Constitution Day, CNN’s dwindling audience learned that the Consitution of the United States — the oldest written government charter in the world and the document that gave birth to the nation that has spread democracy around the globe — has become so “outdated” that it’s actually a “threat to democracy.”

Of course, that’s democracy as CNN’s scholars understand it. And you can’t spell ignorance without “C-N-N.”

The word came on “Newsroom,” anchored by former CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta. Acosta interviewed two Harvard professors of government who are of the opinion that the grand system of compromise, checks and balances devised by the Founders in Philadelphia in 1787 is as obsolete as the quill pens they used to write it down.

Accompanying the interview was a chyron at the bottom of the screen declaring (in all caps): “Scholars Warn Outdated Constitution Has Put Democracy At Risk.”

The only truly outdated thing mentioned is Harvard and the rest of the, now idiotic Ivy League.

The Supreme Court is the only institution standing in the way of the DemonRATS dream of completely transforming America to a Leftist utopia. I do not think they will wait patiently for decades to get rid of pesky Conservative Justices.

Good, because we’re not a ‘Democracy’. We are, or were, a Constitutional Republic.

We are an Oligarchy now, sadly.

Interestingly, the U.S. was designed to be an oligarchy — and the founders of this nation were the new North American aristocracy.

You’ll never convince me that men like Washington, Jefferson and Madison ever intended to establish a system of “democratic” government in which their own interests could be undermined by the votes of their hired help.

That’s why the only election mentioned in the U.S. Constitution is the indirect election of the President by electors who are appointed through acts of state legislatures.

“Rule by decree is necessary to preserve our democracy.”

They really believe this.

The POINT of the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights, was to have some powers NOT subject to simple majority rule.

Harvard puts its beliefs into practice. It was found to be the worst school for free speech.

Mob rule. Leftist Politicians here are jealous of the 75% majority Putin received. The 2021 Online voting made his cohorts a supportive majority. The Left watched and learns how to “fortify “ elections

CNN’s point of view (and the Left):

Democracy = “Our Democracy” = Their Democracy = You shut up and obey.

So, yes, the Constitution threatens that.

The constitution is a threat to despotism. Acosta in particular simply can not stand it that someone disagrees with him.
