Forty six percent of registered voters said they will vote for Democratic candidates in the midterm elections, a 3-point lead over Republicans, according to a Politico-Morning Consult poll released on Wednesday.

The pollster has asked the question weekly as the elections approach, with Democrats holding a slight lead in each iteration for more than a month.

Forty three percent in the latest poll indicated support for Republicans, while 12 percent said they didn’t know or had no opinion.

A majority of voters — 53 percent — who ranked the economy as their No. 1 issue favored Republicans, with 34 percent of those respondents supporting Democrats.

Voters who ranked energy, education, health care, Medicare or Social Security as their top problem, however, favored Democrats.

And yet, we're supposed to believe Democrats hold a 3 point advantage? LMFAO!!

On election day, reasonable people who are adversely impacted by Biden's feckless economic and energy policies will vote their pocketbooks.

Only the most bitter, hardcore Demoncrats will vote (D)

Take that to the bank.

Suspicious poll. Even if it’s true, the lead is about to evaporate because the Saudis is going to have a huge production cut on oil. They are casting their midterm vote on Biden Administration.

Even if it is true, it proves nothing, since most of the Congressional districts are drawn to ensure one party wins. If district A has 60-40 D to R, and district B has 54-46 R to D, the generic is going to swing D but there will still be one Congresscritter each per party.

I’m not surprised. The American voting electorate has proven to be pretty stupid. I wouldn’t be too quick to write off polls that simply reflect that stupidity.

Devilcrats are spinning hard before November...

FTA

“Forty six percent of registered voters said they will vote for Democratic candidates in the midterm elections, a 3-point lead over Republicans...”

Note “registered”

From Wikipedia...I know I know - take it for what it’s worth.

Quote 1:

“According to the American Association for Public Opinion Research, “there is a consensus in the polling community that it is better to report ‘likely’ voters than ‘registered’ voters”.[2] Reporting on a Pew study, the Washington Post has noted that polls of “likely voters” represent the “Holy Grail of polling” and are most likely to accurately reflect the outcome of an election.”

Quote 2

“An analysis of 2010 polling by FiveThirtyEight concluded that polls of “registered voters” that year tended to favor Democratic candidates by a factor of five percentage points over the actual results of the election...”

So, Registered is D+3 = Election Day R+2.

Advantage Republican if these numbers remain constant.

Polls can be set up to show just about anything they want to show, but I have to think that any folks with any common sense will NOT vote Democrat this time around.

Politico and YouGov are notoriously pro-dem. Anything they spew out should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
