s: JURY HAS REACHED VERDICT IN FORMER MINNEAPOLIS POLICEMAN DEREK CHAUVIN'S MURDER TRIAL -COURT
“Off the street forever so he can’t bully and assault anyone ever again. I hope the Feds prosecute for Civil Rights violations next so he never sees the light of day outside of a prison yard.”
Maxine Waters must be on Free Republic.

No kidding. We have our own BLM contingent here.
Ok, I’ll float that of your list, MJ is kicking around somewhere.
Remember, you heard it here first!
GO join your BLM loser friends.
“seems like manslaughter to me.”
Seems like jury nullification to me.
Unless fentanyl was on trial.
Somebody needs to ramp up the robocop technology pronto. Police run into impossible situations all the time nowadays. Perps are forever resisting/uncooperative. The threat of violence is ever-present. Video (whether bodycam or via cellphone) is used by the media to create a narrative (complete with pictures now) that once out stirs the boiling pot of public opinion against the cop (while 10 year old pictures taken at the perp’s confirmation or 8th grade graduation) work up the sympathy angle. If they could ever be created, Robcops would do away with all that (yeah, I know, I know)
That said, if it was my son’s neck under the knee of Chauvin, I’d want him found guilty of something. What he did was to go beyond what was necessary and excessive.
Yeah, and not deserved for sure.
Once upon a time the breaking news section was my first stop every morning. I also looked several times a day. It was the best source of actual new news around.
Nowadays, not so much
as if any member of that jury would not vote guilty.
they all knew their names and addresses would be released.
this is called organized crime not justice.
i hope cops in all blue cities quit and move to red areas.
f*ck the left

Look, "Christian". I believe they should have hit him with the Narcan, which wasn't more than 3ft away during any moment, as it had already been court-ordered standard issue in their patrol cars the year previous.
Reports suggest, though, that administering Narcan cause the Big Gorge's of the world to come up swinging, and given he was already resisting (and sho'nuf had meth in his toxicology), that was top-of-mind in Chauvin and the responders.
Interestingly, a post-Narcan freakout ending with Big Gorge plugged might have gotten Chauvin off in self-defense LOL. If only.
But his defense purposefully failed to introduce the fact that these 2 knew each other from their 'security' work at El Rodeo, and that alone will trigger a successful appeal for Ineffective Assistance of Counsel, not to mention a complete failure to satisfy MN Murder3, as I have very plainly spelled out in previous posts, which you or no one else will bother to read because that is the way FreeRepublic rolls.
So keep chewing that glass... "munchmunchmunchmunchmunchmunchmunch"
DERSHOWITZ: The trial should have been moved out of urban Minneapolis to a rural area and the jury should have been sequestered from day one

DERSHOWITZ: What Maxine Waters did, coupled with the judge refusing to sequester the jury, will lead to the US Supreme Court ultimately reversing any conviction for Derek Chauvin

What's stoppin ya, glass chewer? Sure looks like a post-that-didn't-age-well in about 24 hours...
Unfortunately all of Free Republic side bars are useless. Look at the top story at Front Page. Old news originally posted back on April 8.
Neither. It was Covid./s
I just saw president Trump’s comments from May 2020, when he was still the president, and NewsMax played those comments in full. PDJT wanted federal investigation of this incident caused by Chauvin. Was Trump chewing glass as well?
Those last two minutes when Chauvin was still leaning on Floyd’s dead body was damning as heck. Hard to get beyond that fact, even when other legitimate arguments are made.
So far, a lot better than the Soviet Union ever did. Not 5 years ago, we elected the most free-speaking, in-your-face, independent President than we’ve had in many decades.
But I’ll admit that things are getting iffy...
