Chauvin has multiple avenues of appeal and has a legal right to exercise them. Most people do want this to go away, but the courts are packed full of cases that everyone just wants to go away. Nobody wants to sit through a case of graphic child abuse. Nobody wants to sit through a case of patent infringement for some obscure technology no one will ever even use. Yet these cases must be heard.
Derek Chauvin will have his appeals - as he is entitled - and those appeals will eventually take place outside the spotlight where they belong. High profile, high pressure cases don’t typically produce fair results. With time, things will calm down to a point where fair results are possible.

I can almost guarantee in a matter of months when crime in these areas skyrockets the same protesters will demand the police step in and do more to fix the crime in their neighborhoods.
We have seen it time and time again in almost every major city we are elected officials in neighborhoods throw the police under the bus, act all surprised crime skyrockets, and the mayor and the police fix it.
It will happen eventually. Blacks in big blue cities have just been given free range.

They definitely did. Maxine Walters and Biden may give hope for overturning this...but I’m not optimistic.
There is only a certain number of objections to jurors that can be made without cause, or without having to explain them, at any rate, and others that must be approved. I think the entire pool was so corrupted that the defense had probably used up those slots in no time at all and other objections were not accepted.
