It is almost as if we are going back to the Jim Crow days with the colors reversed. Defense lawyers were not expecting that the thugs could get away with jury and witness intimidation in the 21st century. I'm not convinced they would have to pressure the judge.

I see your point. But, then the programmers would be liable...
I could probably go with the manslaughter charge against Chauvin. Lock / bind Floyd’s feet together quickly and let him sit up...
But, due to those “impossible situations all the time” you mention, as I said to my wife yesterday evening “You’d have to be crazy to be a cop”, these days. But, as I also said, flip that: “In short order, all cops will be crazy people.”
