I received word from 2ndDivisionVet wife that he passed away.
I am not using his real name here out of respect but, will ping his handle and his wife can if she would like.
I didn't ask what he died from but, knowing him for better than 10 years, I knew of medical conditions and a few terrible Operations he had.
He was a wonderful human being who cared deeply for his fellow Americans and the ideals that make this country so great that people the world over want to come here and be free, live in liberty and be whoever they want
If you have ever spoke with 2ndDivisionVet, you know he was quick witted and wry.
What had always amazed me about him was not just his humor but, his ability to somehow take life in stride despite all he endured and be cheerfull.
He was amazingly resourceful in scouring the web for article we might find interesting.
Yes, 2ndDivisionVet really cared about all of us and our presence in his life gave him purpose
I really wish God had let him stay but, my thoughts are more selfish than the absolute knowledge that he is in a better place.
I hope to see him again one day.
Rest in peace and smile down on us 2ndDivisionVet
Oh my.
RIP!
One of the more familiar names to me on FR and one that will be missed. Sincere condolences to his friends and family.
RIP,
I can picture St. Peter putting a Medal of Honor around his neck on his arrival and he giving St. Peter a FReeper mug!
He and his insightful and patriotic posts will be sorely missed. Rest in piece, Honored Soldier and FRiend !

Sincere Condolences.
Yep. And his wife is a sweet lady who took care of us at Sears Optical. May the Lord give her comfort and everything she needs now.

Memory eternal for this great Freeper.
PS: I just remembered that my last FReepmail message is from him on September 21st. He used to send out columns to some of us in FReepmail.
Sorry to hear this. He posted good threads. http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/by:2nddivisionvet/index?tab=comments;brevity=full;options=no-change
Very sad news.
RIP dear FRiend. You will be missed.
Prayers for peace and comfort for the family left behind. :(
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
No need to ping me, I found this thread. I’m so sorry to hear this news, read almost all of 2ndDivisionVet’s posts over the years.
So sorry to hear that. Thank you for the ping.
May God bless his family and comfort them.
RIP, Patriot.
RIP FRiend, you will be majorly missed. Prayers for comfort, in this time of loss, for the family. ~Q
