House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes said Sunday that there will be hell to pay including impeachment for top Justice Department officials if the agency fails this week to give Congress documents about an FBI informant used to spy on the Trump campaign.
We cant force the resignation, but we can hold in contempt, we can pass resolutions, we can impeach. I think were getting close to there, Nunes said of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News Sunday Morning Futures.
Nunes has battled Rosenstein for months over other documents related to the Russia investigation.
The Justice Department and FBI stalled for months to provide information about the Steele dossier as well as about a secret surveillance warrant taken out against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
The most recent standoff concerns Nunes request for documents related to a longtime FBI and CIA source who the bureau tasked to meet with three Trump campaign advisers, including Page.

Here we go.
If Trump wanted him gone, he’d be gone.
Are we the football, or are we Peanuts?
Looks like it’s going to be an interesting week.
Does he have Ryan's support? Does Ryan want to go out with honor or as a swamp denizen who needs to get away before honorable men expose him?
If Trump wanted him gone, hed be gone.
The House gets their base fired up for the mid-terms.
The Democrats can’t yell “Obstruction!” at President Trump.
Very appropriate.
If you are so close, why not just do it?
One of my favorite scenes from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

More accurately, close but never a cigar.
It’s all talk
and therein lies the rub.
I didn’t hear Nunes put it that way at all.....he indicated impeachment was possible but this article stretches that quite a bit.
It’s a little delicate now, Trump can’t just fire RR, cuz Muler will charge him with obstructing justice (supported by a screaming Big Media mob).
Better this way that Congress does it, Trump keeps his hands clean.
(* BTW, it does help to explain why Schiff was so apoplectic about Nunes seeing the intelligence reports ... mmm mmm mmm)
I think Ryan is on board
They’re fixin’ to get ready.
