Military analyst Roni Daniel said the intelligence suggested Iran would use Shiite militias already deployed in Syria, along with experts from Hezbollah.
Iran is preparing a barrage of missiles to launch against Israeli military positions from Syrian territory, Hebrew media reported Sunday, citing defense officials.
Israel could launch several dozen cruise missiles loaded with cluster munitions against Iran’s hghly concentrated oil refining complexes, and cripple them. They import half of their gasoline, and destroying a good part of the other half could result in revolution. Already their population has no confidence in their banking system, this could push them over the edge.
Besides, Israel has vastly more capabilities than it did 37 years ago... especially if they can refuel and/or rearm in Saudi Arabia. Non nukes needed.

That's important to state as Putin doesn't want anything to stand in the way of his work to orchestrate peace between the parties in Syria he's been working at for weeks. That has great significance for him to accomplish.....plus thus far he's been keeping the two apart but if push comes to shove I suspect he'll sit on Iran. Economically in trade etc. he does far greater business with Israel than Iran and that's even considering the arms he sells Iran. I doubt he's happy about this.... Add in the move of the US Embassy to Jerusalem coming up, which is also fueling Irans anger, it wouldn't take much of a strike in that whole tenderbox to set things on fire.

I’ve often wondered ‘who’ and ‘if’ any would act on that because leaders are all tired of this war in Syria and that would certainly change the equations they’re all fighting there for.

Israel has a reputation for standing on its own and whipping its enemies like the Six-Day War.
President Donald J. Trump was elected to keep America out of other people’s wars including Israel’s as I see it.
But that doesn’t preclude support for Israel like moving the embassy to Jerusalem which I heartily approve of, the military assistance which has been consistent for decades etc. etc.
Israel may hit Iran directly or indirectly through Lebanon in the days ahead.
