Sen. Cruz Issues Statement on Brexit Results
June 24, 2016 | 202-228-7561
WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued a statement in response to initial reporting of Brexit returns. Sen. Cruz urged the United States to respect the results of the United Kingdoms referendum on its membership in the European Union:
The British people have spoken clearly: They choose to leave the European Union, Sen. Cruz said. The results of the Brexit referendum should serve as a wake-up call for internationalist bureaucrats from Brussels to Washington, D.C. that some free nations still wish to preserve their national sovereignty. The British people have indicated that they will no longer outsource their future to the EU, and prefer to chart their own path forward. The United States can learn from the referendum and attend to the issues of security, immigration and economic autonomy that drove this historic vote. In addition, we should treat the Brexit as an opportunity to forge a closer partnership with our historic friend and ally, including immediately starting negotiations for a targeted US-UK free trade agreement.

All you guys have done is elect Hillary. Great job! No conservative I know will put their name on either of the two New York Liberals that will be running... Boy you guys showed us!...
That's almost as bad as choosing between a muslim and a Mormon in 2012.
Hes been doing so ever since Trump entered the race.
It was all available to read right here on FR.
You beat me to it!
Very intelligent. You just missed an opportunity to keep your vulgar mouth shut.
Where do they come from?

You don’t sound very happy, here.
This forum supports Trump for President.
I wrote in my vote in 2012. However if Texas had been close I would have went GOP while holding my breath... But it was not close so I didn’t have to go there. I would not vote for either of the two morons running so no matter what I will be writing in my vote...
LOL
Too true...
I’d have respected him more if he simply would have said, “Yeah, what Trump said!” and have been done with it.
So when is Cruz going to figure out that the American people have spoken and follow his own words and support Trump?
Lyin' Ted, hypocrite extraordinaire.
What a liar! Did you know he’s not even an American, he’s owned by the Bushes and his father killed JFK? Just lie, lie, lie! < /sarc >
With each passing day Cruz and his dwindling band of spiteful supporters are less and less relevant.
Cruz may offer a lukewarm endorsement of Trump in Cleveland but only after begging Donald for something in return (and getting nothing but the back of his hand, as well he should) and then deciding to grudgingly offer support so as to put his egotistical self back in the spotlight for a few seconds.
His few dozen remaining “If not Cruz, then we want Hillary — #NeverTrump!” worshipers will be disappointed.
Chuckle, chuckle. I think most of the American people have spoken, by way of the ballot. They prefer Donald J. Trump to be the Republican candidate for president. If cruz really believes the English people have spoken through the ballot, why doesn’t he release “his” delegates to DJ Trump?
HUH?
Andrew Wilcow said recently on the air, when freepers don’t like somebody, they let you know it.
Ted’s Dead. I had to crash that Honda baby.
Oh, please. It's a selling point to Sanders supporters, undecideds, and wavering mainstream dems that the 'pubs they despise....The Bush Dynasty, Romney, Cruz, Paul Ryan, etc aren't endorsing Trump. The question I ask them is why would they EVER support hillary, since all these disloyal bad guys are trying to enable her election?
Best case scenario is the disaffected Dems and Independents vote for Trump. If they stay home, that's okay too.
There's something really despicable about these people not accepting the overwhelming choice of voters. Perhaps they should follow Cameron's example and just go away.
Cruz, after meeting Peter’s Principal, has decided to cast aside the ideas his spouse might place highly. Sorry, Ted, you’ve lost all credibility. You’ve yet to answer how you are eligible to be tagged as a NBC and run for President.
Harness your sled dogs and hit the trail.
“Sounds like Ted Cruz is with Donald Trump on this issue, and consider that good.
Id like to see them work together on the restoration of American greatness.”
I would like to see them work together. Trump will need him in the Senate because the globalist will be voting against Trump. We shall see.
I don’t even want to consider any of the flip-flopping, parroting statements from this man until he makes the statement honoring his pledge.
I predict he’s endorse Trump on July 22. Maybe July 21. Maybe.
