Sen. Cruz Issues Statement on ‘Brexit’ Results

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued a statement in response to initial reporting of ‘Brexit’ returns. Sen. Cruz urged the United States to respect the results of the United Kingdom’s referendum on its membership in the European Union:
“The British people have spoken clearly: They choose to leave the European Union,” Sen. Cruz said. “The results of the ‘Brexit’ referendum should serve as a wake-up call for internationalist bureaucrats from Brussels to Washington, D.C. that some free nations still wish to preserve their national sovereignty. The British people have indicated that they will no longer outsource their future to the EU, and prefer to chart their own path forward. The United States can learn from the referendum and attend to the issues of security, immigration and economic autonomy that drove this historic vote. In addition, we should treat the ‘Brexit’ as an opportunity to forge a closer partnership with our historic friend and ally, including immediately starting negotiations for a targeted US-UK free trade agreement.”

OK Trump can name him Ambassador to Great Britain. After all he can’t lead any of his fellow sena-Whores to vote with him on anything including obamacare and even planned parenthood.

He’s been doing so ever since Trump entered the race.
If Cruz wasn’t such an idiot he could have enthusiastically endorsed Trump weeks ago and been offered a chance to share center stage with Donald Trump now and then.
Instead he banishes himself to the losers locker room with the likes of Romney and Jeb. So sad.
I’m not big on those paranoid conspiracy theories. That includes the North American Union.
Did Ted clear this with the Bush family before releasing this statement?

Ted, as a well meaning U. S. Senator, I don’t personally care what you think.
You destroyed my ability to care what you think over the last 12 months.

If there is no desire for a North American Union, why are there yearly meetings to ensure it becomes reality?
