Government has a right to regulate the Second Amendment, Hillary Clinton said in an interview on the June 5 airing of This Week With George Stephanopoulos,
Clinton contended that Americans have historically recognized the governments right to regulate the bearing of arms, suggesting that it was not until District of Columbia v Heller (2008) that anyone thought otherwise.
Stephanopoulos asked, Do you believe an individuals right to bear arms is a constitutional right? That its not linked to the service in the militia?

I'm sorry, but that statement is incorrect, and if this is the premise from which you begin, you have already lost the argument.
The Constitution doesn't "give" the people rights. To say this is to say that our rights derive from the government, they do not. They are GOD GIVEN, and the Constitution simply recognizes and enumerates those rights.
Someone needs to educate that fat evil bitch that the government derives it's power from the consent of the governed, and I sure as hell do not consent!
> “The Constitution gives the people rights, and takes them
> away from the government.”
A nit, but a very important one.
The Constitution does not give rights to anyone. Only God can do that.
The Constitution only recognizes the rights endowed to us by our Creator, and promises to constrain the Federal government from imposing or encroaching upon any of those rights.
Please hillary, PLEASE run on an anti-gun agenda, PLEASE!
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED
I don’t think they could have been any clearer.
They believe that because they will have supported Clinton's election they will be exempt from the rules like all the other liberals. They are in for a rude shock.
Governments don’t have rights; People have Rights.
Governments are supposed to work for their people, not for themselves.
The Right of SELF DEFENSE is given by GOD, not government.
“Only Treaty Tribes have Rights guaranteed by the Constitution all others have mere privileges which can be revoked at any given time” SCOTUS ruling three times.
What good are gun laws if the 0dunga regime aids and abets terrorists and other LAWLESS illegal alien criminals to freely enter the United States?
No you idiot. The Constitution limits the government, it’s what the people allow the government to do, not the other way round. We’ve already suffered under a presidential dictator we don’t need another one.
OH NO IT DOES NOT!!! “From my COLD DEAD hands!!!” don’t ever forget that!!!
Excellent summary. Cankles is nuts!
Since when did SHRILLERY ever give a damn about the CONSTITUTION?
To her it is just an annoying document that keeps getting in the way of her quest for ABSOLUTE POWER.
...The U.S. government has no rights.
It only has powers that were delegated to it by the several states and the people....
Liberals have a very difficult time understanding such a simple concept.
But, liberalism is all about regulation and control of every aspect of life, and that requires absolute obedience to their beliefs.
King George had some bad moments at Lexington and on the road back to Concord when he in his own mind tried to “reasonably regulate” the Colonists arms and ammunition. The ultimate result of his over reach in part included the Second Amendment. It’s not just a place holder in the Bill of Rights.
Much easier to control a population that can’t shoot back.
Right Hillary?

Clinton responded:
“I think that for most of our history there was a nuanced reading of the Second Amendment, until the decision by the late Justice [Antonin] Scalia. And there was no argument until then that localities, and states, *and the federal government had a rightas we do with every amendment*to impose reasonable regulations.”
This ruthless woman either doesn’t understand the Constitution or is purposefully lying. Knowing her as we do, it’s got to be the latter.
The federal government has no “rights,” as most of us recognize, just powers and duties and those powers don’t include infringing upon the rights of the people.
What makes her lie especially galling is that the federal government is failing to do the things it was intended to do: particularly, coordinating the defense of the states; to the contrary, it has facilitated the invasion.
The Bill of Rights were appended to the Constitution by prescient framers—who refused to sign if it was not—anticipating this precise problem: grasping, power-hungry, federal tyrants like Hillary Clinton, her coven of Democrats and an ambivalent “loyal opposition,” more loyal than opposition.
Our individual right to keep and bear arms is God-given.

Hillary thinks she’s ‘God’. She’ll certainly try to act like God if she’s elected president ... the “queen” stuff isn’t enough for her.
Obama/Clinton will sign an exec ordered banning the use/meaning or whatever of the word Infrigment
Yup.
The Constitution is a guarantee that government will protect people’s God given rights. It is not government granting those rights to us. Further it is a limiting document that tells government exactly what powers it has, and that if not explicitly stated, fedgov does not have that granted power, and anything not granted to fedgov, is a power retained by the states and/or the people.
Our constitution basically tells fedgov what it cannot do to us. It is coined today as negative law. This is why the libs hate it so much. They love european style law, which has most of their constitutions and charters that tell you what govt can do to you, and granting privileges to citizens. If no privilege is granted, its not legal. They love this style of tyrannical state law. It is why they cannot stand the declaration or the constitution. They love it when govt tells you what privileges you do or do not have, and the general rule if it is not explicitly mentioned as legal, it is illegal.
