The Washington Post published an article listing five candidates likely to be considered to be Trump's vice president. U.S. Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa is on that list.
Ernst is Iowa's first female U.S. Senator. Ernst was not well known When she ran for the senate seat vacated by the retiring Tom Harkin.
KWWL-TV caught up with Ernst and asked if she would consider serving as Donald Trump's vice president. "I would say, 'did my mother pay you to say that?', Ernst said. "But, no. I would have to consider it, but I love what I do in the United States Senate, and I love working with Iowans."
Ernst says she hasn't heard from the Trump campaign. She says she won't endorse a candidate anytime soon.

She hopped on board the Cheap Labor Express when she got to DC as well, so, no.
Duncan Hunter adds nothing to the electabilty of the ticket. So he is not a good choice.
Santorum is an interesting consideration that I had not considered.
yep
He could secretly select DDH2, without formal announcement.
In the meantime, and for as long as possible, Trump floats the short-diversity-list which includes:
Blackburn
Hunter
Ernst
White Man
Black Man
Hispanic Man

“Ted Cruz is not eligible.”
Still with the Ted Cruz isn’t eligible meme? If Cruz wasn’t eligible, before the first campaign donation was even given, his eligibility would have been determined and Trump in his all knowingness would have simply said, “Cruz isn’t eligible so there is no point on wasting energy on him.”
The fact that every court who this case has come before said he is eligible is enough. As a constitutional scholar, Cruz would have already known this as would someone like Mark Levin, who is a constitutional scholar on par with the best and brightest.
Agreed! She IS a sell out. I donated through Senate Conservative Fund to her and Ben Sasse. Never again!
Yes she did and so did Ben Sasse.
Working with the Tea Party Express, we helped Ernst win her election to the Senate.
Perhaps she would be more effective left in the Senate.
The GOP will probably lose some seats in the nest election.
Duncan Hunter! I second your nomination.
+1. Potomac Fever case.
so sorry, you are right... math aint my thing.... lol
4x4 = 16
but maybe 16 years is enough to change things around..
Jim Demint..now there is one I had not thought of.
Just a thought, how about Rand Paul. Could bring some of the libertarian and youth vote in. Paul wasn’t around long enough to get into the mud in the primaries and he is articulate and energetic
Why is Cruz refusing to deliver the paperwork that his mother would have had to complete to declare birth of a citizen abroad?
If you remember correctly Levin wouldn't even consider Obama to be a usurper who was ineligible to become President. I became disillusioned with him at that point, I won't even listen to him now.
Every ruling on Cruz's eligibility have been by a Democrat judge, and I take any Democrat judge to be more of an activist the a Constitutionalist. Their rulings are suspect at best.
Furthermore, neither Rubio or Jindal are eligible due to the fact that they were born of non citizens parents. They are both citizens by virtue of Congressional Immigration Acts and rulings under the guise of the 14th Amendment by being born here.
So if you keep with this attitude then do not be surprised when an anchor baby, now rioting against Trump and stating that America needs to become Mexico again, gets elected and does just that.
The only list that matters is Trump’s. And so far he isn’t talking.
You mean like John McCain...or John Kerry...or how about Jesse Ventura, or Generals Wesley Clark or Colin Powell?
I like the idea of a real conservative with a military background and Joni Ernst has yet to prove she is a real conservative.
And you seriously think Debbie W-Schultz and the DNC was gonna allow the
son of a Cuban
son of an Ex-pat
born on foreign soil
a free pass?
44 presidents, 47 VP born here!
Why makes Ted so damn special?
