GOP front-runner Donald Trump says he'd like to bring Florida Sen. Marco Rubio into his campaign as part of his effort to unify the party.
Trump already has the support of two of his vanquished foes: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
"Frankly, Marco I'd love to have involved," Trump said Thursday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity."
"This party has to unite," Trump said. "Then you're going to have the House and Senate."
Rubio dropped out of the race after losing his home state of Florida, but has yet to endorse anyone.
Trump also responded to criticism over comments he made earlier Thursday about North Carolina's law limiting transgendered people to using restrooms of the gender on their birth certificates. Commenting on backlash from businesses, other state governments and musicians to the law, Trump said people should be allowed to use the restroom of their choice.
"It's a small number, but we have to take care of everybody," he told Fox's Sean Hannity.

Rubio would get the VP nomination and either the #2 spot in a Trump win, or a bigger claim for 2020 if he runs a decent campaign.
Trump is 69, he might be a one-termer, Rubio's in his mid-40s, waiting eight years is nothing for him.
Rubio also wrote off the Senate seat, so that is not an issue. He is from the right state, MIGHT help with some female voters. He'll be allowed to dissent from Trump as long as he does it "nicely" and certainly not as head of the Senate. Finally, the GOP find him to be more palatable than most other options on the table.
Rubio's earlier digs at Trump were mostly of the late-nigh TV show variety, and don't lend themselves to commercials ("In fact, Trump's OWN VP, Marco Rubio says that Trump Sweats a lot and has small hands! We can't afford a president with small hands.Vote Hillary Rodham Clinton."
It's the obvious move.

I get a kick out of you folks who leap frog from one anti-Trump hit piece to another, each blown up out of nothingness, then make statements like you just did, “...after the last few days.”
The rest of us have noticed the same articles, have figured all the anti-Trump angles and dismissed them as pure rubish.
I know you folks think you’ve really got something.
You do. You’ve got a great big case of group psychosis.
Seek help.

Interesting that he says this the day after the GOPe met with Rubio and Cruz on a yacht off of Hollywood Florida.

Interesting that he says this the day after the GOPe met with Rubio and Cruz on a yacht off of Hollywood Florida. Why? This was a pre-planned meeting.
No offense, but not everything is nefarious.
Trump will have to pivot...they all do.

Before you jump the shark on a retraction - note that they make the statement without quotes. His real mistake was in looking at the real issue - the government makes too many damn laws over too many damn issues - and leaving room for folks to call that a backing of the perverts. Of course, the original words and intent matter not....

If Cruz can glory in the endorsement of Lindsay Graham and have Neil Bush on his campaign staff, why shouldn’t Trump play the same game? Now it is about delegates and winning.

Trump going after Rubio delegates, nothing more to see here!
The Donald’s problem will be that he took out guys Rubio, Cruz, Jeb, Carly, and others with his slanderous personal attacks on Twitter and in debates. Trump made it personal! Rather than debate their policy differences, Trump hit hard with below-the-belt, childish, sometimes profane language.
These attacks are going to make it difficult for Mr. “Art of the Deal”, to win over these injured candidates, and their supporters. It’s called burning bridges!
BTW, not bringing over Cruz would be the second biggest mistake of the Donald’s hopefully very short career in politics! His first mistake was announcing for POTUS!
My hope is that it’s Cruz winning in Cleveland on a second ballot and reaching out to Trump!
Trump will be offered a post in the Cruz administration as the Assistant Deputy Undersecretary of Commerce cleaning toilets, washing floors, and fetching lattes for Commerce Secretary Fiorina! Oh, that face...

“Bad move. Roofio is a creepy, lying weasel and puppet of the party establishment.”
No, good move.
It projects the image of Trump as someone willing to reach across to an adversary. If Rubio snubs him, it won’t make Trump look bad - it’ll make Rubio look bad. If Rubio joins him, Trump wins his delegates and it looks like the stable of candidates is moving together to join with Trump. Win, win.

Fortunately, the primary voters think better of our greatest Conservative Senator, as opposed to that creepy punk from Florida. Quite possibly, but Sessions didn't run, he endorsed Trump instead.
