(Vanity) The Republican Party Says Your Vote No Longer Counts
April 9, 2016

Posted on 04/09/2016 9:00:02 PM PDT by Enlightened1

The Republican party is not winnning friends or influencing people by saying to the Republican voters in 2016 your vote no long counts.  Think about it!

The popular vote has always been honored by the Delegates unless it was very, very close like in 1952.  We have a public election.  We have all this money being spent.  We have false advertising that say things like, “go vote”, “one man one vote”, “one woman one vote”, “every vote counts”, “you decide 2008”, “you decide 2012” and “you decide 2016”.

Now because the Establishment candidates have lost in the Republican Primary....  They are saying oh no because we changed the rules a way back, and because we lost we are not going to let you win!  The Republican Party in 2016 is saying to the Republican voters that your vote no longer counts.  I believe that is indefensible!

Even when the parties claim they have all this internal power.  When the parties hold themselves out as a public watch dog on tv and radio.  When they hold themselves out with this it is false advertising!  I can show all the instances of  “Your vote counts.  Come join our party”.  This is public fraud, and it’s very dangerous to VOID the votes and discard the WILL of the people.  I can see this even leading to possible class action law suits for false advertising.

In any event, if we sit by and do not get upset, then it will normalize these Establishment fat cats who claim they now APPOINT who can run for office.  If you select the candidates, then is that not a form of canceling the 2016 election?  Therefore, we just wil have ceremonial events every four years instead of actual elections.  Furthermore, are we not just like communist China where the party appoints its own Presidents and successors vs. having a real Primary where every vote counts?

We the people are not their subjects or surfs.  The government are the servants to the people.  That is what we learn in the Delcartion of Indepence, the U.S. Constitutuon and the Bill of Rights.  If this Venezuelan/North Korean/Cuban corrupt election is allowed to get away with this, then what is next to fall?  I think this country will turn into a banana republic.

I can’t express to you how disappointed I am with many so called patriots on TV and radio that cavalierly dismiss this as no big deal.  My guess is they are either completely out of touch with reality or they are working for the other side.

I closely observed the Reagan vs Bush wars in 1980, fully supportive of the former. This is NO different than what occurred back then between both camps. It is our system. Delegate mining. It's what Reagan tried in Kansas City in 1976, with the rule 16 forcing Ford to name a VP, for which he could not cultivate delegates to pass it. It's pure politics, party rules and procedures. Change it if you wish, but not midstream.

Shoot. Even the libs at Politico tonight got it right:

"At the same time, Trump so far has been swept in Colorado, which unlike most states chooses its delegates indirectly, through a series of caucuses. Cruz, who has had a team working the state for months, received a thunderous ovation in Colorado Springs at Saturday afternoon’s chaotic GOP assembly as he announced his preliminary delegate haul while Trump’s bare-bones operation struggled to get organized."

And:

"Trump’s last-minute organizing effort did not go well. The leaflet his campaign handed out listed a slate of 26 delegates. But in many cases the numbers indicating their ballot position — more than 600 delegates are running for 13 slots — were off, meaning that Trump’s team was mistakenly directing votes toward other candidates’ delegates."

Trumps people screwed up on slate lists today in Colorado Springs and a variety of other oversights. Unfair? Rigged? GOPe? Stolen? Really? Doesn't that make you the least bit upset at Donald's apparent oversight and mismanagement!? C'mon. Let's see the Trump Chinese Fire Drill for what it was. Also in South Carolina, Louisiana and elsewhere. The nomination is slipping from his own hands, by his own hand.

You’ll have to take the Electoral College System up with the Founding Fathers, who constructed it.

I think the GOP have successfully pissed off most of their base.

I personally know 2 regular Republican donors for years that told me they will no longer give a penny to the Republican party.

I can’t help but wonder how many people are doing this now?

The Delegates have always honored the people’s vote unless it was very, very close. This time they are not.

It’s not a good selling point to win and influence people.

Yes!! That is the answer!! I agree. He digs it!

But reality TV and pro-wrestling when you don’t have to? That is weird, bizarre stuff to dig! Normal people know this, right? It’s not really controversial.

But, like I said, it is absolutely no weirder that wanting to be a politician lawyer since you were 12.

But don’t pretend that it isn’t completely bizarre, it is!

I agree with the party insiders. The party should be allowed to choose who the nominee is. There’s just one thing they fail to mention. We, those who are registered as Republicans and voted for Trump are as much a part of the party as they are. It’s OUR party. It was founded over 150 years ago. They have no claim to ownership. They have worked there way into its stewardship and are now trying to subvert its republican purpose.

They may be officers and hold positions of power within the party, but they have no legal or moral right to claim that they own it. It’s an organization that belongs to anyone who chooses to join it. Generations of Americans have used the party system as a vehicle to narrow down the choices of our political candidates to a manageable number. The attempted takeover of the nominating process by these subversives is immoral and can not be allowed to stand.

“Why didn’t Trump know? Cruz campaign knew.”

Because the rules were written by slimy, corrupt politicians like Cruz. Trump is an ethical and successful businessman.

So if Cruz is the all knowing Constitutional Conservative why doesn’t he know that Canadian born sons of Cuban fathers are ineligible to be US President?

I’m pretty sure Hillary knows!

Shhhhh, you’ll disturb the fans of the super duper wiz kid who is showing ALL how this game is played! Now don’t go spoiling their fun! We are witnessing the complete turn around of voters who swore they were done done done, done, with the freaks running the establishment aka GOPe, but now that the guy who injects super sneaky poison pills is ‘gaming’ the system and they are filled with glee!

Let ‘em enjoy the show, it’s all they have left.
He’s is no longer the outsider they longer for.
He’s no longer the fighter against the dreaded ‘cartel’.
He’s not even dissin’ on all the jerks who have lived their entire life on OUR money! He’s cozy now with all
these guys he told us were the ‘cartel’;
Romney
Ryan
Graham
Hatch
McConnell
Haley

And for bonus points, in case we were still unsure of his true intentions - you are not a ‘real’ Christian if you don’t vote for him, dammit!

And suddenly amnesty is going to work out just fine, because the genius who didn’t know he held dual citizenship, is taking tons of money from the ‘anti-amnesty’ group - Club for Growth!

It just doesn’t get any better, I love watching the pretzel logic used over and over to support this little fraud.

Being a sneak is the cherry on top - go in and show the newbie how to grab delegates - because ya know, dem da rules dude!

I mean what votes ?

Meanwhile it ain’t him....it’s his Bush Rove masters

Cruz suckers

The marching orders went out today

This same thing at every major #nevertrump org out there dutifully pimped by Cruznutz here on Free Republic

Once Cruz is eliminated next week JR should give this a rest

I think the original premise for the apprentice was excellent. A group of nobody professionals working towards a chance to work for trump. It lasted 3 seasons. The ratings not great. So they went celebrity where trump gives about 2 million per shows to charities of celebrities choice. Rating boon! At least charities get the money.

Would you say the same thing if it were Jeb Bush who was using the rules to gain delegates that he did win with the elections?

Why not admit you have no clue how a caucus system works?

Why not admit you have no idea how the corrupt GOP and Ted Cruz work.

They are fighting to stay entrenched as betrayers of the People and Cruz and company are their current best allies.

It ain't who gets the votes, it's who manipulates and allots the votes after the People have voted.
