Since Obuma was elected to POTUS, I have been coming to Free Republic to get news, opinions and a few laughs. Most of the serious posts were bemoaning the out of control government and what could be done about it. "Oh Whoa is Me!". Then along comes a constitutional conservative. For the first time since Ronald Reagan, we have a constitutional candidate running for the GOP nomination. This man was elected by conservatives to go to Washington and stand up to the elites that no longer listen to the American people. He didn't go to Washington and "fall in" with the crowd. He went there and stood up to them just like he said it would - calling a spade a spade. I'm sorry, but I don't understand how otherwise intelligent people can fall for the likes of Donald Trump. This man was donating to the same people we were fighting to throw out of office the last eight years. Suddenly he is a conservative after years of joining with the liberals to promote big fat bloated government. He is not an outsider. He has been greasing the palms of the slime bags in Washington for 30 years. He can't even define what conservatism is. Wake up America. You are no better than the sycophants that suck up to Obuma. You can't see that Trump is just pushing your buttons with his rhetoric - just like Obuma pushed his sycophants buttons. The hate I see on Free Republic for Ted Cruz, Mark Levin and all the other great conservative leaders remind me of liberal websites. It is disgusting.
As I stated before, a vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary. That cannot be denied.
Can you explain Trump’s 60+ percent negative rating?
Are the following actions constitutionally conservative?
-Signing a liberalized abortion bill granting abortion on demand, making it law.
-Giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and not securing the borders.
-Supporting the passage of the Brady gun control bill.
-Supporting the passage of the NAFTA Free Trade Act.
Guess which conservative did all of those things.
Ronald Reagan.
#481 nice humor break!
You sound like the desperate main stream news media.
You must be a Perot guy? How did that work out for you?
I’m not surprised that he has given money to dems, I suspect he has given to republicans as well. Business and businessmen tend to give to both parties for protection. What has me flummoxed is the vitriol that Free Republicans have expressed over Cruz, a conservative, and to a lesser degree I am surprised by the anger at Trump. Though no conservative he, is still bringing the media and dems and punk millenials to confusion which has been fun to watch. Accusations, harsh words and even lies are something to expect during the primaries. I never expect same party rivals/allies to like each other but they can work together to accomplish like goals, let’s just hope that those goals benefit the nation.
***Sorry but after being against having a president that was born in Kenya of a British father I can not just turn on a dime and say because it is someone on the Republican side that it is ok.***
I agree 100%. There are a lot of people who have changed their name to hypocrite.
Well said -and sadly all too true :(
That is an amazing summary of what has transpired this election season.
I bow to you.
That’s right. I’m a troll. I troll for liberty, free speech, freedom of religion, freedom to bear arms, the constitution. What do you troll for? I spend more time reading FR than posting. And now I know why.
What is the negative rating for congress? Do they get elected?
You didn't believe Romney when he conveniently became pro life.
But you say you believe Trump. Either you are a liar or extremely gullible.
Well said JediJones.

Reagan Gets Bill Easing Abortion In California
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)
The California Assembly has
passed and sent to Gov. Ronald
Reagan, a bill easing the states
abortion law unchanged in 95
years.
Reagan said the bill was by
no means perfect and would
have to be watched closely to
prevent California from becoming
an abortion haven. But he
said he would sign it despite his
doubts about some possible
loopholes.
I am fully sympathetic with
attempts to liberalize the outdated
abortion law now on the
law books of California. the
freshman Republican governor
said.
The bipartisan vote Tuesday
and Reagans pledge climaxed
the most controversial and emotional
debate so far in the 1967
legislative session.
Colorado and North Carolina
have passed similar laws earlier
this year and both now are
in effect. Colorados previous
statute was nearly a century old
and North Carolinas dated back
to 1868.
The bill, sponsored by Sen.
Anthony C. Beilenson, a Beverly
Hills Democrat, would permit
abortions before the 20th week
of pregnancy if:
The prospective motherss
physical or mental health is in
danger.
The pregnancy resulted
from incest or forcible rape, or
statutory rape in the case of a
girl 14 years old or younger.
The old law permits abortions
only if the life of the prospective
mother is endangered.

Agreed. This has been the ugliest I have ever seen it, and I’ve been here for several campaigns.
The thing that really bothers me is the hatred of the Trump supporters not just for other candidates, but for anybody who disagrees with Trump. Their insults are nasty, personal and usually on the gross side.
I think this is the fault of Trump, who has taken over Obama’s Alinsky mode “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it,” combined with a couple of other Alinsky rules, such as “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon” and “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
But it’s really the fault of Obama and the fact that the press and everybody else in the US loved this eight years ago, and Trump, media showman that he is, picked up on it.
Keep shilling for Hillary with your Cruz fantasy.
“How will he fix it? How will he reduce the national debt?”
For one thing, he wants to restructure our tax code, to make America a place that businesses want to call home. If he’s successful in getting his tax plan implemented by Congress, it will change the entire economic dynamics of this country for the better.
That can’t help but have a positive impact on the national debt.
I also think he’s going to work hard to renegotiate our terrible trade deals, which will also help to set us on a path to fiscal conservatism.
For someone outside looking in, your insight is spot on. Its a pleasure to have you a part of the Freeper team!
That does not change the fact that you are still a troll.
The first and most obvious clue, was that you led off by deriding your opponents as monosyllabic. This is one of the great tells of a liberal or RINO. The only other tells which rank with this are credentialism, the use of the epithets "racist" "sexist" "homophobe" (alone or in combination), the use of the concept "closed-minded", or slurs against Christianity in whatever form.
I believe that you must believe that troll-boys must be those who dont believe in your narrow minded view of the world. Go abuse puppies.
Look, right on cue. "Narrow-minded." Now isn't that odd, given that the meme du jour against Trump is that his is ideologically squishy, i.e. "liberal" i.e. "not narrow enough" ?
It appears that, in your haste to insult, you have dropped you stack of memos and gotten them out of order.
Go abuse puppies.
Non-sequiturs at the end of a string of insults, cheapen the effect, particularly when the insults were ineffectual.
You might as well just post "Please clap."
