That’s not true. I know for a fact I haven’t been.
I was a fan of Cruz early on, but the more I got to see of him, the less I liked him. I did say that I didn’t think he was electable because of his personality.
I also said I would vote Cruz if he was the nominee. And I still will, if the GOP doesn’t steal it from Trump.
;)
Yeah, if Trump runs the board, he is in good shape. We’ll see how much Kasich affects the race and if there is a ceiling or not on Trump.
Trump looks to take Missouri and 6 congressional districts tonight, which is almost as good as taking Ohio in terms of his positioning.
So we are looking at lets say, 660 tonight when all is said and done.
If he really goes nuts and wins the winner-take-all States of:
Arizona (58)
Delaware (16)
Indiana (57)
Nebraska (36)
Montana (27)
New Jersey (51)
South Dakota (29)
he will have 934 delegates. That means he will need 303 delegates to clinch. There are 606 delegates left that are in contests that are not winner-take-all.
So yes, if Trump wins all of the winner-take-all States, he will need 50% of the remaining delegates.
When you look at States like New York with 95 delegates, it is assumed that he will get at least 60 for that one State. It makes the road fairly comfortable.
But, a week is an eternity in politics and anything can happen.
Trump has all the leverage in any negotiations.

“ Any contestant in a primary or other election contest “
I’m no expert though.
The question then becomes if Trump could possibly win on November 8. That's an open question. Trump is so unpopular across the nation that he could even lose to Hillary in an orange jumpsuit. So on the one hand, if Trump could somehow win the general, being VP would set Cruz up nicely for being the next president. However, being the VP nominee on a losing ticket is almost a sure path to never becoming president. Only one man in the entire history of the country has ever gone from being a losing VP candidate to winning the presidency, and that was FDR.
“Bloody border clan.”
And we Bells were some of the boodiest ;-)
Good point, but im staying up a lil bit more to see a Trump statewide win. Mostly 'cause of Cruz comments after the Chicago riots. Seeing Cruz shutout tonight, would make me smile as a sleep. But its been at 99% for awhile
The lead is 2881. All Cruz areas are 100% reporting expect Cass (98%) and Jackson (%89, although these numbers look odd when comparing multiple sources)
Beck has been tweeting tonight. He’s gone off the rails again.
Well, I guess he could guard the nuclear trigger and add soberness. hmmm Maybe write long lists of things for Donald and his winning teams to negotiate in the deals like down in Cuba. He would be a barrel of laughs at the press club night. I can envision him getting one of those ventriloquist dummies and doing a "Little Marco" act down at Mar-a-Lago. He could translate for the Donald when hosting the Mexicans and Cubans, and handle the en Espanol speeches.
Shoot, I'm talking myself into it!
Thank you, I am so glad to hear that.
Charles...
Chuck.
Can you set aside your anger for a moment and try to look at this from the point of view of the other side?
I know what my experience with Cruz supporters was. The instant that I announced that I liked Trump, the insults, the comments about being a cultist, and the amazing condescension was CONSTANT for at least three months before I personally had anything negative to say.
Unless you’re Jesus-levels of patient, it’s really hard to get punched for three months without finally getting fed up and punching back.
From where I’m sitting; I didn’t alienate Cruz supporters. The ‘alienated’ ones hated me from the beginning, and all my rancor has been directed solely at the ones who were horrible to me from the start.
I’m not asking you to like Trump, but you’re treating him and those of us who like him as irredeemably evil.
They look like fools over at Fox trying to figure out how to beat the front runner who just won Florida with over a million votes after tens of millions of wasted dollars on ads. The media, the party....they all look small. They keep talking delegate counts and totally leaving the people out. Makes me I’ll.
This could become a VP picked by the establishment in exchange fot not trying anything at the convention. Bush 41 was that kind of compromise with Reagan as memory serves me in 1980.
Hehehe how did you know what was running through my head?
Good for you! I’m here to and I’m shy of 70.
Me too...Cruz really irked me with those comments. Nothing would be better then for him to get no outright victories tonight.
Please, take a little love.
If you go, take it with you. If you stay, share it with someone else who feels the frustration that you do now.
Sincere and civil,
HLB
