Ok Cruzbots
Ted Cruz whom I originally supported just said that Trumps campaign bears responsibility for the violence in Chicago tonight
I am absolutely appalled by him
Disgusting
Caught the end of it and Ted just solidified my support for Mr. Trump. Ted is just greasy creepy. Thanks for giving us a place to vent.
But when you threaten violence or seem to condone it (as Trump did by saying in his day people left on stretchers, and I will pay your legal bills if you beat them) then you bear some responsibility for a violent environment.
I know no candidate did this so let me give you an example. If a protester came in and started yelling, and the candidate tells the crowd to beat the crap out of him, and the protester dies, is the candidate at all culpable? I say yes.
I think all Cruz was saying was that if you create an environment that your supporters feel it is OK to commit violent acts, like the guy who cold cocked that BLM protester, then you share some of the responsibility.
Seems pretty straightforward to me.
Cruz is a sleaze.
ABSOLUTELY.. I didn’t hear it either!!!!!!!
The protesters are jerks and so is Trump. They deserve each other.
Desperate Ted
Ted’s just bound and determined to provide more proof each day of what a total sleaze ball and dirt bag he actually is.
You mean the smartest lawyer who ever lived and a genius constitutional scholar couldn’t figure what really happened tonight in Chicago?
Then we shall all hang separately it appears.
I dont know that you can blame Trump directly for the violence, but you cannot completely absolve him or his supporters, either. When you have a Trump supporter sucker punching a protester, and then saying the next time he might have to kill him, and Trump supporters CHEER him; when you have Trump supporters roughing up protesters and you have the candidate approving and even offering to pay the legal bills for anyone arrested for attacking a protester; when you have Trump himself threatening to punch a protested in the face from the stage during a rally; then yes, I think you can safely say that the Trump campaign and many of his supporters share some of the blame for the potential for violence.
Cruz knows that after next Tuesday he’s toast. He will say or do anything to hang on.
Fox News Teds news conference
I heard it
I did a rare vanity
Read the thread
I am not the only one
Even some Cruz folks are honest enough here to admit they heard it too
You won’t have to trust my word soon enough
This will break out
If Cruz is such Constitutional lawyer, you’d think his first concern would be defending the 1st Amendment rights of all, even his political opponents. Instead he shows himself to be small and opportunistic instead.
I agree that any Republican candidate with a good chance of winning in November would have receive this response tonight, especially in Chicago at UIC. Lots of sources afraid Trump is going to win.
Cruz blamed Trump, and wants more political correctness to fix this. I say crack a few skulls to fix this. Either we have freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, or we don’t.
I started out supporting him too, but his frat boy antics, his lies, turned me off. He’s just another DC insider.
You are wrong. He blamed the candidate(Trump)
Exactly. Trump on Hannity now, saying this was an organized event (protest) since they knew thousands would be there.
frigging disgusting, cruz needs to shut the hell up.
This was caused by agitators, Dem party, Obama etc and cruz needs to shut the hell up
If you encourage people to punch your opponents in the face then you hold some responsibility when they do.
That’s a basic truth no matter how much twisting you do.
