Donald Trump trounced his rivals in the Nevada caucuses on Tuesday, notching his third consecutive victory and giving the Manhattan mogul even more momentum heading into Super Tuesday next week, when voters in a dozen states will cast their ballots.
Trumpâs decisive win, which the Associated Press announced immediately after polls closed, was propelled by an electorate even more enraged than the ones that had swept him to wins in New Hampshire and South Carolina, and a second-place showing in Iowa.
"We love Nevada. We love Nevada,â Trump declared in his victory speech. "Ah, this is a great place."
For the first time in the 2016 primary season, media entrance polls showed that a majority of voters, 57 percent of Nevada caucus-goers, said they were "angry" with the federal government. Another 36 percent said they were dissatisfied.
And, as significantly, they want to bring in an outsider to fix it. More than three in five caucus-goers said they favor someone from outside the political establishment rather than a candidate with political experience as president.
That was bad news for Marco Rubio, who is now 0 for 4 in the February contests, and Ted Cruz, who won the Iowa caucuses but finished a disappointing third in South Carolina on Saturday.

Cruz is starting to remind me of Lyndon Johnson more each day. I mean his style, mannerisms...even looks a little like him. Don’t know why, I see him now and I see Lyndon. All he needs to do is pick up his dog by his ears.
Yes, CNN was early. But I think dfj has us all beat with early in 2015, just when the rumors first emerged.
He posted the reference thread further up.
There were a bunch of Freepers laughing at him.
Gary McNamara and his sidekick are a couple of urbanites who talk politics late at night. They’re usually pretty entertaining, but they don’t have a whole lot in common with their OTR trucking audience.
No need for Photobucket when there’s Imgur.
I picked up a site years ago, and I use it now.
It’s not that expensive.
I enjoy having fun with graphics. Looks like you’ve got the knack for it. I liked your steam-roller.
Actually, I believe Cringing Negativism Network was the first, from what I saw.
Yet, in his “concession speech”, Cruz kept emphasizing he is the only candidate who has defeated Trump in 1 out of 4 primaries. Cruz will not be on the Trump ticket, and is pretty close to blowing his chance for SCOTUS nomination.
“Cruz is starting to remind me of Lyndon Johnson more each day. I mean his style, mannerisms...even looks a little like him.”
You know...?
I noticed the similarities myself, some time back. There’s an almost uncanny resemblance between the two. Both Senators from Texas, too.
I think djf has it.
If you listen to the MSM, Hillary is scared of Rubio as an opponent, but she would crush Trump, no problem....Sure. I believe that.
Thanks!
I watch the networks pretty close... as soon as Jan 2015 ended and no NBC Apprentice was scheduled, I had a strong idea he was running.
And to be totally honest about it, I think it’s a good thing. Trump is the kind of guy I could have a beer with (one of my home-made Stouts!) and just talk about stuff, He wouldn’t get too bent if I tell him he’s got a babe for a wife. If I asked him how to find a new job, he’d probably be able to give me some clues.
He might not be Putin’s best friend, but hey, he understands power and responsibility.
He IS NOT a regular “politician”. Or “dynasty”.
He will make choices I don’t agree with, but ALL PRESIDENTS do that!
Anyways, GMTA!
I post so many threads I forget some.
Well, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one too ignorant to take Trump seriously.
I was number 53 or 54, I think.
Yeah, I should probably create an account at Imgur. I’ve seen lots of Freepers mention them as a photo hosting site.
Thanks
Was someone keeping a count?
Excellent
That thread was your thread!
And it’s interesting, ain’t it, that it’s not NYT or Chicago Tribune or Gannet or whatever.
It’s the National Inquirer!
Good for them, eh?
Hope he steams rolls through Texas and puts Cruz out of his misery.
