Donald Trump trounced his rivals in the Nevada caucuses on Tuesday, notching his third consecutive victory and giving the Manhattan mogul even more momentum heading into Super Tuesday next week, when voters in a dozen states will cast their ballots.
Trumpâs decisive win, which the Associated Press announced immediately after polls closed, was propelled by an electorate even more enraged than the ones that had swept him to wins in New Hampshire and South Carolina, and a second-place showing in Iowa.
"We love Nevada. We love Nevada,â Trump declared in his victory speech. "Ah, this is a great place."
For the first time in the 2016 primary season, media entrance polls showed that a majority of voters, 57 percent of Nevada caucus-goers, said they were "angry" with the federal government. Another 36 percent said they were dissatisfied.
And, as significantly, they want to bring in an outsider to fix it. More than three in five caucus-goers said they favor someone from outside the political establishment rather than a candidate with political experience as president.
That was bad news for Marco Rubio, who is now 0 for 4 in the February contests, and Ted Cruz, who won the Iowa caucuses but finished a disappointing third in South Carolina on Saturday.

Sadly the Cruz ground game is 6 feet under.
A ground game should be decisive in a caucus state.
Unless Trump is in the race. And all the rules are broken. And a new normal and a new party is established.
Seems a lot of people forgot....
As for Iowa... I dont think they even care that much about the actual politics anymore. I think they just want to stamp their *we are different* brand on every election cycle.
The headline that I want to see everywhere tomorrow:
TRUMP WINS HISPANIC VOTE IN NV AGAINST TWO HISPANIC SENATORS.
yep he’s on his way
The theory that the also-rans have clung to, that Trump’s support would crumble when the field narrowed, is itself crumbling. He is getting his proportionate share of the drop-outs’ votes!
And Nevada is not exactly short on Hispanics. About 28% vs. 18% nationally.
“another A## kicking.. do you think they get it yet?”
I’m sitting here listening to Gary McNamara on the Midnight Radio Trucking show, and he’s in full tilt anti-Trump mode, as usual.
You’d think after tonight’s stellar performance in Nevada, everyone would at least give Trump his due, but that’s how bone deep the denial is with some people. Especially those in the media.
“Cruz had good endorsements in Nevada. Too.”
In the current socio-political climate, political endorsements aren’t worth spitoon goo, and can even be a negative for a candidate.
I doubt I could ever find my first advocate posting.
I don’t know about the host or the show, but it seems to me like Donald Trump would be exactly the kind of candidate that would appeal to OTR drivers. Is that wrong?
“He will be our nominee, and go on to become president.
I couldnât be happier about what that means for the future direction of the country.”
Amen......
And hauled off in a bag.
The first thread I saw posted announcing Trump’s intention to run, was posted by freeper CNN (bring jobs back to America!).
I’m embarrassed to say that I openly laughed, at the time.
Heh... I used to be big on posting images until Photobucket got stingy with their bandwidth.
