I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to the Scalia family after the passing of Justice Scalia. Justice Scalia was a remarkable person and a brilliant Supreme Court Justice, one of the best of all time. His career was defined by his reverence for the Constitution and his legacy of protecting Americans' most cherished freedoms. He was a Justice who did not believe in legislating from the bench and he is a person whom I held in the highest regard and will always greatly respect his intelligence and conviction to uphold the Constitution of our country. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.

Thanks for posting McConnell’s statement. I see that he has picked up on Cruz idea to not fill the vacancy until the NEXT term of Congress. I pray he has the guts to follow through.

DH just woke me with this news. Still attempting to absorb what has happened and digest the information using a brain still asleep. Dear God, this might be striking of our nation in the Achilles heel. With this weakness and the power of the demons, we stand little chance of surviving. The news is of no surprise. The man in the news will be sorely missed, a true American Conservative Patriot Rip Justice. There has been left a wide chasm in the fundamental base of our country with the loss of your wisdom.
