Donald Trump announced Friday he raised $6 million for veterans at his fundraiser in Iowa the night before.
But this would appear a significant increase from what he's given to the cause before, according to some reports which questioned whether the billionaire businessman has been a consistent donor to vet groups.
Showbiz 411 reports that the Donald J. Trump Foundation gave a total of $2.6 million in charitable donations in the last three years, but only a fraction has gone to veterans groups. In 2012, Trump gave nothing, in 2013 he gave $6,000 and in 2014 he gave $16,000, according to the report.
The Weekly Standard reports that the foundation donated $57,000 to veterans groups between 2009 and 2013, only a small amount of the $5.5 million it gave in total during that period of time.

"These reports are not accurate. Mr. Trump has made substantial personal contributions to a number of Veterans organizations as well as in-kind donations," Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks** told FoxNews.com Friday.

The Weekly Standard reports that Trump's foundation, meanwhile, gave at least $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

well said :)
Mister Donald (lifelong pro-choice DEM, lifelong supporter of socialized medicine, and from the above, Hillary buddy) Trump.
Super salesman Trump? Thanks anyway.
.
Your other hubris aside, what did Trump say about McQueeg that was incorrect?
FOX , sorry the establishment just can’t let it go. They were questioning him before the event took place.
The list of 22 organizations which will receive monies from the rally were actually posted shortly after the event. In fact, I believe the list was posted outside the entrance.
we can only guess what he bought for the$100 grand
$1million donation to build the NY Veterans Memorial in '95 was quite the diversion.
I think you completely missed the point of the article, comment, and links within. Why now all of a sudden and why at the time of debates where he should have been, and when it hurt both events, and pulling a "celebrity" and "military" cards to get political allies into giving to his foundation.
Instead, the excuses sound like typical Clintons' diversion attack machine: "old story, time to move on" ... "what did you/they do?" ... "so what?" â all without thinking about or answering the real questions posed.
Do check the comments and questions within the links, to get a different perspective than Clintonian / Obamian "deny, deny, deny."
Ya know if I gave a million to any charity, Id disburse too. YOU NEVER give a large donation up front. THat is a no no.
That won't happen. He only knows what Cruz tells him to know, only says what Cruz tells him to say.
There's still a few of them around.
maybe read #17 from Albion Wilde.
also the others who posted link to Trump donating $1 mil in ‘85.
Flashback: Trump Saved NY Veterans Day Parade Marking 50th Anniversary of End of WWII
A meme was started by Trump antagonists in certain conservative circles that Donald Trump does next to nothing to help veterans. It turns out Trump has been generous with veterans over the past decadesâall it takes is a little more research than those with an ax to grind seem willing to do.
UPI reported in 1995 how Trump was credited with âsavingâ the New York Veterans Day Parade. The parade that year was marking the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War II.
This was not Trumpâs first time supporting the New York Veterans Day Parade. In 1987 Trump gave $1 million to help the parade when it was in transition, according to a history of the parade reported by Business Insider in 2013.

What a pile of crap. Damn liars and typical of the communists democrats.
Donald Trump, your Potemkin Village is showing.
Like there’s not a difference between “raising” and “giving.” And few know the individuals the Trumps have helped privately, apparently for years. But this is the crap one expects the weekend before an important election. You just have to take it for what it is and consider the source.
