Fox ought to leave his empty podium on stage for everyone to see during the debate.
I say Fox is scrambling like hell right now to talk to Trump, and he’s not taking calls from them!
I also predict that things will be smoothed over about 1 hour prior, and Megyn won’t be there, but Trump will.

There is a mention by WaPo and Glenn Beck’s The Blaze. Other than that there is nothing so far.
Everything that comes out of Trumps mouth is unprofessional so I don’t think he should start complaining about other people being unprofessional.
It also shows that if Trump doesn’t have cojones to handle Megyn Kelly, how do we know he can handle Putin, ISIS, and the socialist democrats?
Besides, I think he may be looking for an excuse in case he loses Iowa.

What may have been around 15 million viewership will likely drop to 8 million — assuming Trump does not buy time on a competing channel and hold his own townhall. Then, it might drop to 3 million.

I seem to recall that Eastwood's performance played pretty well to the Republican audience and that is the only audience that matters at this stage of the campaign.
Perhaps if Trump gets the nomination and refuses to attend a debate with Hillary the empty chair argument would not hurt him, but I kind of think that it would.
To all you Trump haters.. can you be unbiased? can you be fair in your opinions? I can pick out the anti-trump posters.. you all sound as bad as the biased and hateful media.
You COULD state a pro and con for Trump to attend or not. But no, .. you cut him off at the knees.. soundly cut him down to a pulp.
He has that right to not stand before the firing squad. He has that right to do what is right. And Fox is not right in this... not one iota. They never have been. I heard Fox news tonight with the anchor and all the panel.. every one of them.. attacked Trump. Fair and balanced? and you on here..sound just like they did.
I would not go before that firing squad and allow them to control the questions, time my answers and aim it only at me. There’s nothing right about that. And it’s all to take out the ONE.. the ONE.. man, they have determined THEY do not want. Nevermind the people... it’s all about THEM! and what they want. It’s always about those in power.. and keeping it.

The debate is not for the benefit of the candidates, it’s for the benefit of the PEOPLE. The people would like to see the debate, as there are still many undecideds. For him to not show up is fine. But to make an attempt to thwart the people of their last opportunity to see their candidates in action, by pulling attention grabbing shenanigans is not doing right by the people. It’s acutely quite childish.
Well there will be one open spot on the main stage. I say give it to Rand Paul this time. At least we know he also has a pair.
Right. Now you can cry about how much time Kasich was given to talk about his mailman dad, and hey, maybe they’ll invite Rand Paul to come back up from the kiddie table.
Bottom line: Every one of the other candidates will be gunning for Cruz now. How brilliant is it to skip the debate and allow your closet competitor to become the pinata of the night.
